Maria POV
I woke up this morning and lay silently, staring up at the ceiling. The bed was empty, and I knew both of my men had gone off for an early morning training session before the madness of the Alpha ceremony tonight began. I sat up slowly, tucking my knees under my chin. Looking around the room, I could see that Matt’s bed had been slept in, but the duvet had been pulled back tidily, airing out the mattress.
I noticed that a note had been left on my bedside table, so I reached across and gently picked it up.
“Good Morning Maria,
Matt and I have gone for a run. We have a meeting this morning with Alpha Taryn and Alpha Ben. Get some breakfast, then meet us there. Hopefully we can get everything arranged before the ceremony tonight, and we will have absorbed Blue Lake by lunchtim
