Jake POV
The weeks that followed the Alpha ceremony flew by. We held a funeral for Kate, for Mrs Davies, Jase got to grips with running a pack, and they finalised the takeover of Blue Lake. We decided that it was best Rising Moon took over their pack, since Maria rejecting Matt meant we no longer had to merge.
Maria struggled with her decision to reject Matt, even though she knew in the long run it was for the best. I knew no matter how much she told me she felt fine, she was dealing with a lot. I was worried about her, she had been spending a lot of her time alone since her mom had died.
One by one, Mae and Noah,Charlie and Lottie went back to our pack, to organise the packhouse before Maria and I returned. That day had been fast approaching, but finally it was here and I was nervous
