Lucas threw Bella onto the bed, tearing at her clothes. Bella struggled, shouting, "Let me go, you maniac!"
Lucas pinned her hands to the headboard. "Don't you dare call me that. Listen carefully: I am your husband. Now and forever.'
"No, you're not! I don't love you, I...
Lucas silenced her by forcefully kissing her, biting her lip in anger. Ignoring her resistance, Lucas had his way with her.
Afterward, he carried Bella to the bathtub, gently washing her body and wiping away her tears. He felt lonely and just wanted Bella to be with him, but he couldn't understand why she wouldn't want that.
Lucas carried Bella back to bed and held her as he fell into a deep sleep. Bella, however, stayed awake, silently crying as tears soaked her pillow. She was truly terrified and wanted to escape his control, but she feared for her family and friends. Lucas was powerful and could do anything he wanted.
The next morning, Lucas woke up to find Bella still asleep. He kissed her on the forehead before heading to the bathroom. Bella opened her eyes as soon as he left; she had been awake for a while but didn't want to see him.
"Bella, wake up. Let's have breakfast together.
After breakfast, Lucas prepared to leave for a business meeting. He had always imagined a life where his wife would help him with his tie and kiss him goodbye before he went to work.
"Bella, help me with my tie."
"I don't know how.
"Then learn.
"I don't want to."
"Give me a kiss.
"I don't have a mouth."
"You..
Lucas grabbed her shoulders and bit her cheek, then angrily stormed out.
Bella, frustrated, didn't even want to humor Lucas. She changed clothes and headed to school, driven by Ethan. Since the wedding escape attempt, Bella had multiple bodyguards who followed her everywhere.
At school, Bella, Riley, and Grace sat together drinking coffee.
"Bella, are you really married?"
"Yes, Lucas forced me to marry him.
"Oh my God, Bella, Lucas is crazy. He even locked me up last time.
"I'm sorry, it's all because of me."
"It's not your fault. Lucas is wrong for forcing you to be with him."
"Bella, what are you going to do?"
"I don't know. I want to leave, but his bodyguards are always watching me."
"Bella, if you need help, let us know. We're here
for you.
"No, guys, I don't want to drag you into this."
Bella finished her classes and returned home. Lucas had arrived before her.
"Bella, you're back."
Lucas handed Bella a small jewel box. "Open it."
Inside was a ring with a large gemstone, sparkling brilliantly.
"It's our wedding ring. It arrived late. Try it on.
"I don't want to."
Lucas grabbed Bella's hand and put the ring on her finger.
"From now on, this ring will stay on your finger at all times.
"Okay.
"Do you have to talk to me like that? Can't you say more than one word to me?
"I don't want to.
“you,,”
Lucas felt as if he were punching a pillow. He would rather have a heated argument than this cold indifference.
"Keep that ring on, or I'll lock your friends in the basement."
Bella slapped Lucas across the face. "You disgust me.”
Lucas turned his head. "Listen, if you don't obey me, I'll go after the people around you. I won't spare them.
Lucas went upstairs to his study while Bella returned to the bedroom. She held the ring, realizing there would likely be more incidents like this in the future.
Lucas had just finished a remote meeting when he walked into the bedroom and found Bella already in bed.
"Bella, why are you sleeping so early?"
Bella didn't respond. Lucas smelled blood. He lifted the covers to find Bella's m soaked in blood, the ring stained red.
"Ethan, call a doctor.'
Lucas took off his shirt and tightly wrapped Bella's wrist.
"Bella, wake up. Don't sleep. Don't sleep."
The family doctor rushed to treat Bella while Lucas waited in the living room.
"Argh!" Lucas knocked over a bookshelf, scattering books and ornaments all over the floor.
Lucas felt a mix of anger, pain, and helplessness. He drove out of the estate and went to his usual bar.
His friend Alex greeted him. "Lucas, long time no see. How's it going?"
"bad"
Lucas kept drinking non-stop. Many women approached him, but he refused them all until he was completely drunk.
Alex saw him and helped him up. "Lucas, let me take you home."
"I don't want to go back."
"Okay, then come to my place."
Alex said goodbye to the others and helped Lucas into his car.
The next morning, Lucas woke up with a headache from the hangover. He opened his eyes and saw Alex.
He quickly lifted the blanket and checked his leg. Fortunately, he was still dressed.
"Alex, what are you doing here?"
"Dude, this is my house. Where else would I be?"
