I am losing the battle...
Life is interesting, no matter what forces you to believe that something will happen. But you do not know what. I was shocked about my calmness despite the situation I am in. But I definitely felt regret not choosing another path. Thinking so I just close my eyes and try to focus on holding the magic I am using right now.
"You ok princess?" asks a voice in my ear and a hand holding me by the waist. I did not know I was holding my breath until I heard him say. Instantly I felt happy. I look up to the beautiful ocean blue eyes and him shielding me with his bare hands. The burn was awful. Unconsciously I started up at him and at the wound and my eyes started to water because he hurt himself. I wanted to say something but he shook his head no and started to fight with his other two warriors.
Soon we got rid of the witches and his warriors gathered all the bodies and said "we will take care of these witches and interrogate them, your highness, please be careful on the way back." with that they went back to their territory.
Before disappearing into the woods, Aron glanced at me one last time and took off.
When they were gone Stace released a breath she was holding in. " Girl that was scary. How can you be so calm and not be afraid of the dark prince? He terrifies me" she shouted. Here I thought she was too quiet that she fainted, but the b***h was scared.
After the adrenaline rush was gone, my knees gave up and I was sitting on the snow and calming my heart.
"Stace help me to get up. we need to go back to the palace, I have a tonne of work waiting for me." I extend my hand. "Here you go" she helps me up and I steady myself.
"Stace, can you keep this a secret, please? I don't want anybody to worry about it." I say giving her an innocent look. "But we need to report," she says.
"Please, nothing much happened. If you keep the secret I will give you my sexy dress that you love so much." I say and she takes the bait. "Deal," she says and we head to the palace.
As I arrive at the palace it was already 3 in the afternoon. Dean rushed to me and grabbed my wrist pulling me to the stairs "Sorry princess, we have an urgent business, please follow me to your room." he said and dragged me.
"Hey, what is wrong with you?" I yell at him on the way. But he seemed worried.
He does not answer and pushes the door open to my room. He pushed me to the sofa and started to examine me.
"Dean! What is wrong with you?"
"For a moment my wolf felt restless. Anytime I feel restless it means something is happening to you, something bad" he confesses avoiding eye contact.
"Oh" I didn't know what to say.
"But still, it's ok now. But why would you feel that way?" I asked.
"I can't open my cards now, but I promise, I will tell you when the time comes." He said as he stood to his feet.
"Now, princess, you need to bath, you stink like a wet dog. Hurry up, we do not want your mate to be disappointed by your looks or scent." He shoved me to the bathroom.
"I have made a secret invitation to the people you asked for. It will be held at 10 p.m. Also took care that at that time Ace and Stace would be busy. Now, get ready, I will do your hair" he said.
