Jake made no effort to stop me from leaving, this was the second time he has done that, and yet he claimed he loved me.
Tears pooled in my eyes as I hurried home and knocked on the door.
My mother answered and her gaze was questioning. “You're back!” she exclaimed and stepped aside from the door.
“Yes, I'm back," I mumbled and walked into the house. In the living room, I strode to a chair and sat.
“Did you see him, Alpha Thane?” My mother asked latching the door. “And was Princess Larissa with him?”
I nodded, “Yes, mother, they were together and it seemed they have settled their differences,” I explained.
