Damian always meant what he said. If he threatened to throw her, he would probably follow through. Elodie hated herself for it, but his intimidation worked. She went still immediately. She didn't dare move a muscle. Inside, she was cursing him out in every way she could think of. The car beeped twice as they approached. Damian yanked open the door with one hand and shoved Elodie into the passenger seat without ceremony. He walked around the front, opened the driver's door, and slid in.
