The celebration is taking place in Moonglade Plaza at the pack center! The air is filled with the aroma of barbecued meat and the joyous laughter of my people! But l can't shake off this chilling feeling, knowing that behind all those smiles lies a strict hierdrchy and the harsh rules of survival. My roommate Sherly urges me.Come on, Ashly! i heard Alpha Kaden is going to announce something big at this ear's celebration! In my previous life, that big announcement was about him declarina his chosen mate.while l was left be humiliated on the shame pole. I take a deep breath, pushing down the hatred swelling inside me. “I'll be there in a minute.” As I walk toward the plaza, every scene mirrors the memories l hold! l even spot a few Gammas, bullies who thrive on tormenting the weak, huddled together, their predatory eyes scanning the crowd for a target. Soon, they fixate on a frail figure in the corner-Alina. Just like in my last life, they drag Alina into a secluded alley, and l hear her choked sobs and pleas for mercy.  “stop! What do you want to do to her?" That's how i charged out last time without a second thought. But now, l stand frozen, coldly observing. Lyra paces anxiously in my mind. “Aren't we going to do anything? She's an omega, just like us.” “She's also a snake that bites back Lyra."l respond coldly,“Our kindness only brings death. This time, we have to survive.” I turn away without hesitation walking in the opposite direction Alina's cries grow fainter, ultimately drowned out by the sounds of the celebration. Instead of going to the main plaza, head to the pack's training ground! I need strength, even just a little.Omegas are naturaily weak, but l won't accept that fate. I practice the most basic combat skills over and over, my sweat soaking my clothes.l lose track of time until an overwhelming presence envelops the entire training area Every werewolf training comes to a halt instinctively bowing their heads. The aura of an Alpha. I stiffly turn around and see the man l loathe more than anything Alpha Kaden stands there, his tall figure casting a long shadow in the setting sun. His gray eyes are fixed on me, filled with scrutiny and a hint of...confusion. The bond between us, the Mate Bond, connects us like an invisible thread.l can smell that damned scent of pine on him and feel Lyra's instinctive stirring at the proximity of our mate. “MATE!" Lyra cries out in my head, unable to contain her excitement, but forcibly suppress her. Shut up, Lyra! He's not our mate;he's our enemy. Alpha Kaden strides toward me each step seemingly crushing my heart, "What's your name?" His voice is deep, laced with authority. “Ashly." l reply, keeping my head lowered. That's the way of the pack;Omegas must obey Alphas. “Ashly." He repeats my name, as if savoring it. “The scent you carry... it's something special." know that's a unique fragrance only destined mates can detect! In my past life, he never mentioned it. why is he bringing it up now? I can't bring myself to look up and remain silent. “Look at me."He commands I slowly lift my head, locking eyes with him! In his gaze, l see disgust-exactly the same disqust l remember. “An Omega." He sneers, as if I'm something repulsive. "The Moon Goddess really played à cruel joke. With that, he turns and walks away without casting another glance myway I exhale in relief, my body trembling slightly with anger. Just then, a disheveled figure bursts out from the alley, launching herself at Alpha Kaden. It's Alina. Her clothes are torn, her faces treaked with tears, “Alpha Kaden!" she cries, grabbing his arm, "You have to help me!"
