32 NoraFor the past two hours on this Wednesday morning, Nora had shared the defense table in the federal courtroom with her three new attorney colleagues. She could no longer smell the faint chemical odor lingering in her freshly dry-cleaned pinstriped power suit. That emission had been completely blotted out by citrus fragrances. The combined cologne-force of the defense team was equal to a lemon grove at the peak of harvest. She giggled, imagining Kent’s reaction. He’d hoped she could use her co-counselors as a human shield.
