He just blinked innocently and stared back as if he had no idea what she was talking about. Time to take it to level two, the best part of it all. He thought happily to himself. He hurriedly carried Maud of his lap and placed her beside him.

The little girl sighed out of relief thinking he had finally had a change of mind and released her but if only she knew what was coming next. She just stared too terrified to process what he just said.

He barked out. Maud snapped out of whatever trance she was in and obeyed.

He melted into the softness of the little child’s hand and sighed out of pure pleasure when she started moving her little hand. Maud’s hand which was terribly shaking seemed to be the only thing that ruined his wonderful mood.

“You better stop that shaking of hand.” He said clearly annoyed with that act but how could he blame her? When the girl was having a very difficult time processing all that had happened to her within those few minutes.
