CASSIE’S POV They shifted. I’d never seen it before. I’d never seen a Lycan shift in person. I watched all three of them do it in the space of seconds. Their shift was fluid and fast, nothing like my slow painful unraveling. In a matter of seconds, three enormous Lycans were standing in the garden where three men had been. I knew them without thinking about it. I didn't need to question which was which. Amara knew immediately. The bond between us extended to them in their Lycan forms. Darren was dark grey, almost black. He was the largest of the three. He looked at me with eyes that were still gold and still completely Darren. Bastian was lighter, sand-colored. Even as a Lycan, he communicated something easy. He nuzzed my head playfully then knocked his shoulder gently against mine.
