Beside me, Celeste had gone very still. I could feel it without looking at her.
"She loves them too," Celeste said. Her voice was light. Careful. "The way she looks in that photo."
"She doesn't love them," I said.

"She's an omega playing house with three princes who are bored," I said. "That is what is happening. She is useful to them right now and the moment she stops being useful she will be back where she started." I took a drink. "I give it two weeks."
Marcus laughed. Dre laughed louder. Teo looked at the phone again and said nothing.
