CASSIE’S POV I was reading when Amara moved. This wasn’t the gentle stirring she did when she was comfortable, or the purring she did when one of the brothers was nearby. This was different. This was sudden, like something had grabbed her from the outside and pulled her. This feeling came to the surface of my chest so fast it knocked the breath out of me. I sat up straight in the window seat. “Amara-“ I called “Someone is here”, she said “Someone who shouldn't be” Her voice sounded so scared. That was weird. Amara usually sounded bright and cheerful. Who was she talking about? I could feel a presence but I didn’t know who it was. I was alone in the room. it couldn’t be the brothers because this wasn’t what I felt when I was with them.
