Logan returned home to see piles of wood and what seemed to be glass of all shapes and sizes around the side of the cabin.
he pulled up his old truck to see his mate unloading a sled of more glass.
He got out and headed towards her, "What's going on?"
Cecilia turned to see a look of concern on her mate's face as he looked at the mess around him.
"You're not going to believe this!" she replied with excitement in her voice as she ran up to him. Throwing her arms around him she started to explain everything that had happened to her.
He couldn't really take in everything she was saying, "Are the fairies really willing to help us?"
"Yes, so I'm going to make a greenhouse on the side of the cabin. I've been busy collecting wood and glass from town that everyone was throwing away."
Logan watched his mate as she explained to him with pride written all over her face. She had hauled all of this heavy stuff sled by sled full. The distance from the town to their cabin was not short.
"We can use the the truck to gather what you need. Don't wear yourself out by hauling it with that little sled," Logan worried about his mate traveling such distances by herself, especially since the pack hated him. He didn't want that hatred to be taken out on her.
She shook her head at him," Don't bother and save the gas money. I'm strong so this is nothing. I'll take breaks if I feel tired."
"Fine," he sighed no use in arguing with her, she'd win anyway, "But at least let me help you with building it. If it's on the side of the cabin I can make a door from the inside going into it."
She beamed at him," That would be wonderful!"
It took them a few weeks to build a greenhouse and many trial and errors later. Cecilia was proud at what they managed to build. It was a little rough but it worked.
After she seen Logan off to work, she headed out into the forbidden woods to look for Ryder.
She walked around calling out his name and started to get discouraged as day started to become darker. She was about to give up when she heard rustling of branches beside her.
After awhile, Ryder came striding out into the open with a smile, "Some of the others said you where looking for me?"
Ryder watched as the wolf ran up to him, it was an odd feeling, "I managed to make a greenhouse! Can I get you to ask for some seeds?"
Cecilia looked at Ryder hopefully, and he nodded at her," I'll ask, I'm sure they will be happy to have someone to help."
The next day, Cecilia woke to a knocking at their cabin door. She rushed to answer it with Logan slowly walking behind her still half asleep.
She opened the door and there stood Ryder with four others. Each of the fairies were of different height and shape, but each had white hair, white skin, and blue eyes.
"Welcome! Please, come right in," she quickly ushered in her guests, and had them sit down in their small living room next to the fireplace.
Ryder was a fairy of about 6' 7" if Cecilia guessed correctly, the other male fairy had to be at least 7'. The other fairies where females. One was around 4', another was probably 3'1/2", and the last was small enough to sit on Ryder's shoulder.
"These are our healers," Ryder pointed to the taller male first, " This in Arc, that's Lin, Heart, and this one on my shoulder is May."
Arc was the first one to talk," Ryder suggested that you could grow some herbs for us?"
"Yes, I would very much like to," she answered back with a serious expression and tone, sitting up straight to give her undivided attention.
Arc nodded his head, " Each of us have brought different herbs we would like you to grow and we would like to make a request."
Cecilia tilted her head in question, " What is it?"
The fairies all looked at each other before Heart continued, "We were wondering if you could mix some of the easier medicine together and distribute it to the fairies."
"You live close to the Forbidden woods that it would be easy for the fairies to come and go without being seen and you can trade with them for what you need," added on Arc.
Lin nodded, " We will teach you how to make the medicine, they are not difficult ones. This way we can concentrate on more serious matters and still provide for less concerning issues."
"Oh!" Cecilia looked at her mate, "What do you think?"
Logan was baffled by everything that was going on, never did he think that he would be surrounded by fairies in his own house, " I think it's a great opportunity."
He was speaking the truth, anyone who had relations with the fairies was considered upper crust of society and were well respected because the fairies were some of the most powerful beings and they didn't often deal with others.
Days and weeks passed as the healers came and went teaching her the basics of what she needed to know.
They also brought her tools and other items to assist with her new job. After awhile they introduced her to some Winter Fairies that wanted medicine, and showed her how to trade with them.
Life slowly started to get a little easier for them now that they had a way to acquire the things that they needed to survive.
