Standing before the Ice Moon pack's Alpha and his mate's family in the pack house made him nervous as the tension was high.
Rogues were seen as dangerous beings that were out to take over packs and throw them into chaos. Packs usually had laws about killing rogues onsite, so his mate bringing him here was against everything the pack held as law.
"What's your name rogue?" growled the Alpha Alexander. A tall firm man with black hair and piercing blue eyes, " And where do you come from?"
"Logan Mune," he growled back causing the Beta and Gamma of the pack to step forward, " I'm from nowhere important."
"That's not an answer," the Beta Bryan, a man of short, but stout build, and who had brown hair and eyes. Stepped closer to him.
Logan stepped up to the Beta only to have his mate put a hand on his chest, and turned to the Alpha, "Alpha, he will not cause any problems, so please let him become part of the pack."
"I'm sorry, but rogues are just too dangerous to allow in," commented the Alpha shaking his head, "We don't know his intentions or strength. Rogues are rogues for a reason."
"That is true, but not all reasons are because they are bad wolves," pleaded Cecilia approaching the Alpha's desk, "He has been around our pack, but has never caused problems. No one even knew he was here until I brought him home."
Everyone flinched at that point. How did no one notice him? He had been hanging around the pack borders for weeks, and even worse is the pack that they bordered apparently did notice him either. How did Two packs miss him?
Logan grinned," Sir, I only want to be with my mate. I will not cause you any problems. If you're worried about my strength, then how about giving me a job as an warrior?"
He watched as the Alpha frowned and tilted his head to one side, "Why would I give you a job that involves you fighting? It would be easy for you to cause trouble."
"Not at all," Logan countered, "I would be surrounded by other warriors that could take me out if I caused problems, and rogues are known for their strength, so you would have another strong fighter to defend the packs territory."
"Alpha," whined Beta Bryan after the Alpha stayed quiet for a bit, "You can't really be thinking about allowing him to stay?"
To be honest, thought Alpha Alexander, if we let this rogue stay it could be a good thing. He avoided two packs security, so he has some skills. Plus, I can tell he is incredibly strong. If he had a pack he would definitely be the Alpha.
This both worried him and gave some comfort to him. If anything happens in the pack he would be able to take charge.
" Alright, I'll allow you to stay. However, you will not be allowed to join the pack unless you prove yourself."
Logan nodded his head, "I'll work hard."
Beta Bryan jumped in, "Wait Alpha! You don't expect the pack to allow him to live in town do you? They'll feel threatened!"
Alpha Alexander frown deepened, "No, that won't do. However, there is a small cabin by the forbidden woods on the outskirts of our territory. Stay there until the pack feels comfortable with you."
"Yes Alpha," replied Logan who turned his head and smiled at his mate.
The cabin given to him was located deep in the woods and didn't have a driveway going to it. The only way you would know it was there was because of a small wooden gate that led to a small foot path.
When they finally made it, Logan couldn't believe what he saw. He wouldn't call it a cabin. He would call it an old shack that was falling apart.
"It's fine," Cecilia wrapped her arms around him, "we can fix it up."
Her family had kicked her out of the house the moment she told them she would accept him as her mate .
He was happy that she accepted him, but one look at her parents house told you they were from money, and held a high position in the pack.
He couldn't imagine her living a life here away from all the glamour of her old life.
"It's fine," she repeated as if she read his mind, "In time they will come to accept you. It's a great pack. They just need time to adjust."
They walked inside, if you thought the outside needed work, the inside was going to need a miracle.
There was no electricity or plumbing. A large fireplace was all that there was for heating and cooking. An upstairs loft served as a bedroom, and a cellar for storage. It has the basic set-up for a smaller cabin.
Somehow, he thought as they walked around, we will make it work until they accept me.
