Chapter Nine

Brian's Point Of View

While am looking at the mature and more curvy, and amazonian beauty, that is Slyverken,it just dawned on me why my wolf reacted different to her even during our early teens. Her joy knew no bounds as she realized, we are mates. From my peripheral vision,I noticed Jerkins asking for permission to break protocol,I nodded when I realized his wolf was in control and he had found his mate. I laughed and took stock. The living room was in a mess,a hundred Alphas were seated and looking around in confusion,whiles the top ranking officers of the Alpha Pack, just found their mates. I looked at Slyverken hugged her and whispered softly to her, to be continued. She nodded okay. 'All right that is enough, now back to the issue at hand. We've arrived here without arousing suspicion,now to the second point, Slyverken I need you to organize a meeting with the other Alphas in the alliance, keep them in suspense I do not want my presence been announced to the enemies. Daemon and Greg, I want our men ready to attack in twenty four hours. I want them well rested and ready,use the underground training ground in order not to attract attention,Alphas musk your scents when outside,we do not want them suspecting our movements, we would train at 04 hours GMT, tomorrow. I would deploy you in battle unit is but that can wait. Jerkins, I want men spying on our enemies, I want twelve men to infiltrate their unit is. I want to know when they intend to attack. Jerkins, Luna Slyverken's pack protection is your duty, pick your own team and stay in the shadows, intercept any attack launched on the pack and you can join forces with Gamma James at the Moonlight Pack, I am sure Beta Michelle would do the necessary arrangements. Lewis, make sure the smoke screens are in place. Now let us have dinner and rest, tomorrow is going to be a long day. Jerkins do not even think about shadowing me tonight okay? ' Everyone snickered at the expression of innocence on his face. He nodded and we had dinner. Afterwards I excused myself and entered my dad's office, now my office sat down and began drawing battle plans and deployment,a few minutes later Lewis, Daemon and Greg showed up and started scrutinizing the plans,when Catherine, Slyverken, Michelle and Grace entered. We all went over the plans and made adjustments when necessary, after which they bid me good night and left. Alone in my dad's office, made me remember the last time I was in here

Flashback

Three years ago, my dad announced to the pack that I, Daemon, Lewis and Greg would be leaving the pack to school in different states, each of us is to be accompanied by a team of twenty five warriors each. We departed after our farewell party but before that we had a last minute meeting with my dad (Alpha Jon),who had other ideas in mind for us.

Alpha Jon's Point Of View

The boys arrived in my office quietly and discreetly as I asked them to.  I could tell Brian was surprised but curious as to the rationale for this top secret meeting. 'Take your seats boys" they did but not before bowing in respect ' Alpha' they chorused. "Boys, I am sure, you are all curious as to what this meeting is about,so let us get straight into it. As you are aware you would be leaving tomorrow but not for college as everyone thinks, you and your men are leaving for a mission that would last a duration of three years. Your job from henceforth would be to bring the myth of the Omega of Atlanta to life. The ground has already been prepared for you. You are already aware of what operational methods to use. And you will not be doing this together, take note. Brian you are in charge of the Moonlight pack and surrounding territories and packs. Lewis, you taking charge of the stone pack and surrounding territories, Daemon take the Crescent pack and surrounding territories, Greg you are in charge of the Half moon pack and surrounding territories. Remember,if ever you have to give a name when introducing yourself to any of the packs, introduce yourselves as Brian and I want you all to make as vivid a replica of Brian as possible for such situations. Never ever reveal your real identities, and you can choose to either live with the pack or secluded alone with your men. Any questions? " Alpha,who are we hunting? And how do we know if the mission is over?" ' Your targets are the rogues planning on attacking the packs and I will inform you when the time comes, if no further questions are available, you are dismissed' they nodded, stood up and left as discreetly as they came.

Brian's Point Of View

Father's instructions came as a shock to me and everyone else but you could say it made sense when you stop to think about it. That explains the late night hunting of rogues and the writing of Omega on the corpses. My life just took on an unexpected turn. that is how I arrived at the Moonlight pack, where my men and I where invited to stay after a few weeks of camping around the pack boundaries. I mind linked Lewis, Daemon and Greg to also ask permission and train the warriors of the various packs they were assigned to.

One year on,

Today, I woke up earlier than usual feeling refreshed after last night's party. I turned in bed and looked at the sleeping beauty that was Slyverken, I smiled sheepishly but my smile morphed into a frown when I felt someone trying to mind link me, I opened the link and received shocking orders. Brian, the initial part of your assignment has been completed,now to the next phase. Leave your men under Alpha Riddick's care and meet up with Lewis, Daemon and Greg. They would form your new unit, you are in charge and leave immediately, you guys would meet up at Crescent pack border, from there the four of you would live together,hunt together, work together and finish this mission together, you have two hours to meet up with them. Now get a move on . With that he closed the link, I quickly showered, changed clothing,packed a few things, mind linked my men with new instructions, including assigning subcommander James full Commander status and assigning him and Micheal bodyguard duties, they are responsible for Slyverken's safety and training. I contacted Alpha Riddick bid him farewell and left at a quick run without saying goodbye to Slyverken. So that is how we ended up as a team.

End of flashback

Back to the present.

I stood up from my office and made my way to my room, where a sleeping Slyverken awaited, I took a quick shower and joined her in bed. She snuggles closer, I took a deep whiff of her scent and relaxed immediately, sleep was a few seconds away.

Slyverken's Point Of View

I relaxed when I sensed Brian's presence on the bed. I smiled inwardly. At daybreak, I woke up with a start Brian was gone again. This guy just does not know how to stay on bed, I quickly showered dressed in tight fitting shorts and a loose tank top. I walked out to the training grounds, only to meet a scene beyond my imagination. Beta Lewis, Gamma Daemon and Delta Greg were supervising the training of all the two thousand six hundred and fifty warriors currently been housed in the red moon pack grounds. that is eight hundred and eighty three men each under their wings. All these men were furiously sweating as they've been at it for more than four hours. They turned towards me when they sensed me coming. " Morning Luna" they chorused. I felt myself blushing but shook it off as I asked for the whereabouts of my mate. They chuckled. Lewis replied 'Alpha Brian is supervising the training of the hundred Alphas himself and he's been at it for four hours already and it is only eight in the morning. I am sure the Alpha's are sore by now and ooh they are using the underground training grounds' I nodded in understanding and made my way down to the dungeons which also happens to house the underground training grounds,as I made my way closer, I could here the Alphas groaning in pain and saw Brian looking on with a smug look of satisfaction on his face. His face lit up upon seeing me. " Okay boys take a thirty minutes break, morning Luna" The Alphas were delighted and chorused' morning Luna' Morning Alphas, I responded. Brian can I know why you did not wake me up for this morning's training? "I did not want to disrupt your sleep and I needed you fully rested for it, cause you are training with me" I was left dumbfounded at his explanation, he wanted me to train with him?? Now that is romantic. The Alphas were wearing looks of satisfaction on the reason for my absence during training. Okay game on, I can take you on as I always do. He snickered in response and assumed a fighting stance as I entered the arena. I launched at him instantly only to be thrown on the floor,he offered me his hand which I took and kicked his legs from underneath him,he landed on the floor. I stood up, shaking the dirt from my clothes. "So, you want to play dirty. let us play then" I assumed a fighting stance, while he wearily circled me, no doubt looking for a weak spot. He attacked and we wrestled for thirty minutes no stop. Suddenly, I felt a rush of power flowing through my body, I turned and saw the Alpha pack directing their energies to me, I smiled as I turned to face Brian who had a smug look on his face. " Looks like the boys have already accepted you as their queen,even though I've not marked you yet" I felt my face become hot at the implication behind his tone. Are we going to fight or what? I asked. He smiled and assumed a fighting stance. I went for an uppercut, which he deflected, I then threw a punch at his face as he made to deflect it I changed track and landed it on his well conditioned abs, he groaned as he kicked my feet from underneath me. I landed flat on the floor and he quickly straddled me, effectively pinning me down l tried wriggling out of his grip, he only shifted his weight and cupped my hands in his and immobilized my legs with his,all this while looking at me like he wanted to devour me and never breaking eye contact. I have to admit, the sensations going through my body at each and every one of his touches was driving me insane with need,thus affecting my concentration. Just as he dipped his head towards me as if to kiss me, there was a loud noise as the door was left to bang violently.

Chapter Ten

Brian's Point Of View

I hate interruptions but that is exactly what happened just as I was about to kiss Slyverken. I turned around to see Lewis skipping to a halt in front of me. " Alpha,we have a situation at hand" Lewis, what's wrong? I stood immediately and gave Slyverken a hand up. " Alpha, our scouts have reported massive troupe movement coming our way, the five Alphas, you requested to meet are coming from the west, each with twenty five warrior wolves and a group of rogues are also coming in from the south. The Alphas and their escorts are due to arrive in five minutes on our lands, the rogues are thirty minutes behind them." Well, well, it looks like we've got quite the welcome. Lewis, form the welcoming team for the Alphas and escort them to the conference room. Inform border patrol to let them in. As for the rogues, I will meet them with my own welcoming committee on the pack boundaries. I want to be informed as soon as they arrive within our territory, and I want every single warrior wolf under my command on high alert and ready for battle when I give the signal." Yes, Alpha" he bowed and left to carry out my instructions. I turned to my Alphas and addressed them, looks like our training is at an end for now, please you can leave for your quarters and prepare for an interesting meeting. They nodded and left quickly. I turned towards my mate, how about we hit the shower and face this together,my queen? She blushed and nodded, leading the way back to my cabin.

Lewis's Point Of View

Alpha Brian's instructions were straight forward, and as the Beta of Betas, it is my job to make sure they are carried out. I ran from the dungeons straight for the training grounds. Daemon and Greg were already organizing the warrior wolves into battle deployment. I nodded in approval of their arrangements and asked them to freshen up and meet me at the pack border to welcome the Alphas coming in. Men, today we might have a chance for battle, I want you all on high alert and ready for battle at a moment's notice, we have rogues coming our way, prepare to give them a proper welcome, this is Alpha King Brian's orders and as his Beta, I will see to it that it is followed,now move out. "Hurray" they chorused and started moving into positions. Daemon and Greg were smiling at the prospect of battle. Okay boys, let us get ready and welcome our guests,I want you all fresh and looking your best. They nodded and marched off towards the pack house. Jerkins stayed behind to request permission to leave for the Moonlight pack as Alpha requested. I nodded and he, Beta Michelle my mate, Bernie and a group of fifty warriors shifted into their wolves and left at a fast run with Michelle leading the way.

Jenkins' Point Of View

As per Alpha King Brian's orders, I left the red moon pack after a rigorous training section under the leadership of Beta Lewis, I took a team of fifty warriors,who happen to be a mix of assassin trained and Alpha's warriors, we left accompanied by Beta Michelle and Bernie my mate. Beta Michelle was to serve as liaison between us and the Moonlight pack, as we approached the pack borders, Beta Michelle mind linked the border guards to let us through. I mind link my team Men, we are approaching our destination, remember this are friends but they do not know us and will not like the fact that we've been sent to babysit them,so keep your guards up. I do not want to hear any complaints about our short stay there,I do not want any of you engaging in fights or causing any. If anyone provokes you,I want to know about it. Is this clear??. Yes, Commander, they responded. I closed the link. We crossed the pack borders and were met by an angry Gamma James, Commander Micheal and about a hundred warrior wolves,who were eyeing us wearily. Beta Michelle seemed to be giving commands, through their link because clothes were brought for us. I gave the order and my men and I shifted back into our human forms and wore clothes provided, Michelle on the other hand went behind one of the neighbouring trees, accompanied by Bernie, they returned a moment later fully clothed. Bernie walked towards me and assumed her position beside me, this got her pack mates attention as, they watched us with undisguised anger. It looks like I stepped on a few toes already and it has been only five minutes.

Michelle's Point Of View

As soon as the Moonlight pack boundaries came in to view, I mind linked the border guards, informing them of our approach. In all honesty I forgot to notify Gamma James yesterday of this,as I was caught up in being with my mate Lewis and all the planning that went on yesterday. Gamma James is going to be pissed but screw him, I am Beta and he has no choice but to do as I tell him. As we entered the pack lands, we were met by an angry looking Gamma James and Commander Micheal, flanked by a hundred warriors of the pack. I shook my head at this and started issuing instructions via the pack link for clothing to be presented on the spot, four of the warriors detached themselves to fulfill my orders, they returned soon with clothing for everyone present,at a nod from me Commander Jerkins and his men shifted in front of everyone and started wearing the clothes provided. By this time the whole pack had gathered and was watching in stunned silence as, the fifty one well muscled warriors shifted and started wearing the clothes provided. Bernie was drooling over her mate, Jerkins. It took a lot coying for her to finally divert her gaze to me and follow me to the neighbouring trees, where we shifted and wore our clothes,we walked back to the group and Bernie went and stood right beside Jerkins,this caused a lot of people to raise their eyebrows, that is when people started noticing the bite mark on her shoulder indicating she was mated and claimed, I smiled as I remembered my own mating process but now is not the time for that. I cleared my throat to get everyone's attention and started addressing the pack,' Good morning, everyone first off let me deliver the good news our Alpha has found her mate,who also happens to be an Alpha and it is on his instructions that his Commander, Jerkins and his team are here as an extra security measure while we are at war. As Beta of this pack, I expect you all to extend the best of our hospitality to our new pack mates. The final decision to merge the two packs will be taken after the war. Gamma James, I trust the accommodation arrangements have been made? He nodded in response, while relaxing into a smile. Ok, I am leaving the pack in Commander Jerkins and Gamma James' hands. I have to leave for the Alpha meeting. Please, return back to your duties. Everyone nodded and dispersed.
