Chapter eleven

Jerkins' Point Of View

As Beta Michelle was giving her speech to the Moonlight pack,who gathered out of curiosity at seeing fifty plus one heavily muscled and stern looking warrior wolves arrive unannounced on their turf, I was looking around, surveying the territory and planning how to deploy my men in my head,whiles Bernie was looking at me curiously. As soon as everyone dispersed, Beta Michelle asked what I wanted to do now. "Well, I came here for a purpose and that is to secure the pack and that is exactly what am going to do. I turned to my men and started issuing instructions, divide into four groups, one group head and cover the northern borders and areas,one to the South,one to the West and one to the East. I will do a general sweep of the grounds,every fifteen minutes. Keep your eyes peeled for rogue movements and watch out for spies keeping tabs on the pack and also make yourselves as invincible as possible as per your training. Now go and make Alpha proud," at these they cheered and divided each group heading to it is assigned station. I smiled at their efficiency, whiles Gamma James and Beta Michelle looked on with stunned expressions on their faces. "What's wrong? You guys look like you have seen a ghost." 'You just arrived, you did not give them a chance to relax and you have assigned the men immediately and that too after the rigours seven hour training, do not you think the men are tired and need rest?' "Beta Michelle, it seems you are new to Alpha Brian's pack, here there is no room for laziness, you work till you drop and these men are used to this routine, we've been at it for awhile. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a perimeter sweep to do. Love, get some rest you need it and do not worry I will be back sooner than you think and do not worry I will find you easily no matter where you are. Beta Michelle, you might want to leave already or you'll be late for the Alpha meeting." I nodded to her and Gamma James,kissed Bernie on the cheek and shifted into my wolf and sped off towards the border to start my perimeter sweep. Halfway there,I received a mind link from one of my men,' Commander,a lone tango was spotted around the West border,he took off as soon as he sensed our presence,looks like he was keeping watch on activities of the pack' I hope you took precautions in following him.' Yes, Commander, I dispatched a team of five wolves to keep on his tail but discreetly and they just reported that he just entered enemy territory.' Okay, inform the team to monitor the enemy's movement and under no circumstance are they to be discovered and they should report any movement seen ' okay, Commander' with that I closed the link. I mind linked Lewis immediately to report my findings Beta, we detected a tail monitoring movements at the Moonlight pack, a team of five wolves followed the spy into enemy territory, my orders to them was to maintain a vigil on enemy movements. ' Nicely done Commander, Alpha would be pleased, good work. Kindly keep me posted'  Yes Beta, with that,I closed the link.

Meanwhile in enemy territory

Alpha Harris,Red and Gin received surprising reports.

Rogue: Alphas, Alpha Slyverken is mated and her mate who happens to be an Alpha,sent a team of fifty warriors as extra security for her pack. She seems to have made the red moon pack house her new training ground and headquarters and there are rumors of Alpha Brian Armstrong been in town.

Harris: Brian Armstrong is back in town? That explains the recent activities at the Red moon pack. You may leave.

Rogue departs

Red: Brian been back in town is a complication,we all know what he's able to do.

Gin: Am more worried about him being able to unite the packs, just as he's dad was able to.

Harris: Guys do not worry,he will not have time to plan as we'll attack his pack and Slyverken's simultaneously,they will not have time to prepare. Sound the drums, we attack at dawn.

Gin and Red: Okay, but how do you want to attack

Harris: we would take the majority of our men and attack the red moon pack house, whiles a contingent of three hundred wolves would attack the Moonlight pack,thus crippling them, leaving Slyverken without a backup.

Gin: okay,it will be done

Lewis's Point Of View

Myself, Daemon and Greg, looked dashing in our tuxedos, with matching ties. We patiently waited for our guest Alphas to arrive,as soon as border patrol notified me, they entered the pack lands. We marched briskly to welcome them, I introduced myself and my colleagues and led the way to the conference room just as Alpha requested. Daemon opened the double doors that led to the conference room and we all entered. Alphas,if you would be kind, kindly take your seats. The Alphas were surprise to see a hundred Alphas already seated and waiting patiently,they took their seats hesitantly. Daemon and Greg took their positions at the front facing each other. Alpha Brian and Luna Slyverken walked through the door a few moments later, everyone stood as they made their way to the two seats situated at the head of the table, accompanied by myself and Michelle their Betas. Everyone took their seats

Chapter twelve

Brian's Point Of View

As Slyverken and I entered the conference room, I felt the shock radiating from the five Alphas invited here today upon seeing me. Lewis took his position behind me as Michelle stood behind Slyverken. We took our seats in front with Lewis and Michelle flanking us, Daemon and Greg were opposite us with their mates beside them and couldn't hide the grin on their faces, the other Alphas of the Alpha pack lined the table with our guests at the tail end of the table, I smiled as I recognized the reason for this arrangement. I cleared my throat and welcomed everyone to the meeting but before I could get to the point of this meeting, I was rudely interrupted by Alpha Rand. ' Omega, can you tell me the meaning of this' he asked with a voice laced with venom, my Beta and Alphas started to rise at this. Boys calm down, I will take care of this. Alpha Rand, it seems you do not know in who's presence you are in. To you, I was the Omega of Atlanta but let me reintroduce myself, I am Brian Armstrong,son of Alpha Jon of the Red moon Pack, Alpha of the Red moon Pack, Vernon Claw Pack and the Alpha Pack and your king. The next time you misbehave in my presence would be the last breath you ever take, have I made myself clear? I said in my Alpha voice. He was taken aback and took his seat immediately watching me with plain shock on his face as he realized I just Alpha commanded him into submission. The room became deathly quiet as my Alphas couldn't help grinning whiles our guest Alphas looked at me with plain shock on their faces. Well now that the cat's out of the bag,let us get to the main purpose of this meeting, Alphas Rand, Goldberg, McNally,Twain and Finn, I am sure you are all aware of the treaty between our fathers and Packs, today I called you here for you to choose if you want to continue to swear your allegiance to me and accept me as the new official Alpha King or if you want to challenge me for the position or declare war like Alpha Harris, Alpha Red and Alpha Gin have. The choice is yours and make them careful, you have twenty minutes to deliberate and give me your decision, now if you'll excuse me, I have another guest to welcome. I stood,as did everyone else, as I walked out with Slyverken beside me, Lewis, Michelle, Daemon, Greg and their mates flanked me and my Alpha Pack fell in line as we marched straight for the border, where I was just informed that our guest rogues just arrived. My wolf growled in my head as we approached the site, I mind linked Lewis, Daemon and Greg boys is it just me or does the two lead wolves smell awfully familiar. 'You are right Alpha,looks like Ruby and Cercie took your advice and now have a rogue pack. What I do not understand is what there are doing here'. "that is what we will find out soon." I closed the link and opened a new link to Catherine and Grace, "Gamma female and Delta female, I have an assignment for you." 'we are all ears Alpha.' "Kindly get two set of female clothing for our guests here, we'll be having a long chat. "'Okay Alpha.' I closed the link. They excused themselves and left at a quick run back to the pack house to get the clothes I requested for. Okay people, I want everyone to be alert, Alphas hold your positions and remain hidden until I say otherwise. Luna, you too. Lewis, Daemon Greg and I will make the initial approach. Everyone nodded and went to assume their positions, the four of us made our way to the border just as Ruby, Cercie and the rogue pack arrived on my lands.

Ruby's Point Of View

Hey,am Ruby, you are probably wondering who I am. Well let me introduce myself. My name is Ruby DeVille, the only surviving member of the DeVille Pack, and Brian is my cousin as I learned later. I survived the attack on my pack because my trusted aid, best friend, sidekick and sworn Shield Cercie took me away from the palace as per her training. She's twenty and I am eighteen, we've been living as rogues for ten years, until I met Brian and fell in love with him. He sees me as a friend only and suggested I form my own pack. Two years along the way, here I am with my own pack numbering three hundred wolves, trained by Cercie and myself in combat.

Now, back to why I am at the Red moon Pack, ever since the attack on the pack, Omega Brian, disappeared and then all of a sudden, Alpha Slyverken takes up residence there, I wanted to have a word with her considering I've always seen her as a enemy, since Brian prefers her to me. The last thing I expected was to run into Brian himself along with his three sidekicks. "Well, well, if it isn't the famous rogue Alpha Ruby and her bodyguard Cercie. Shift ladies,so we can talk" I was so surprised, I did not realize he had just Alpha commanded to shift,he threw clothes into the air Cercie snatched them and I led the way to the nearest tree, where we shifted and wore the tight fitting, designer tops and jeans. We walked back out, Cercie gave the command for the pack to remain alert but not to attack. As soon as I saw Brian in his tux, I ran over and enveloped him in a hug,he patted my back gently, that was when I heard the dangerous growl coming from behind us. ' Ruby, you might want to let go of me before my mate decides to make you do it,I promise you will not like it her way'  I chuckled and released him.' Hello,boys it is been awhile.' " Yes, it is been,it seems you have been busy as well" 'ooh the usual. Brian tell me what's going on here? you have been missing for weeks and you suddenly show up here, with your bodyguards.' " Point of correction, they are not my bodyguards, they are my friends and officers. I should be asking you what your doing on my lands and that too, with your pack?" 'Your lands?' " Yes, welcome to the Red moon Pack and your looking at the Alpha of the pack" 'That explains alot, considering I have always wondered how come an Omega radiates as much power as you do, you are an Alpha's son hence the reason for the power you radiate.' "Tell your men if they try anything funny, they are dead. Boys you can show yourselves now" Just like that Alphas moved out of the shadows and I was not even aware of their presence? I stared wide-eyed.

Slyverken's Point Of View

This rogue girl from no where, started hugging Brian like he meant the world to her,this pissed both me and my wolf off, immediately we started growling. It took everyone by surprise as am not the jealous type usually but then this rogue girl happens to be a torn in my side for awhile now and it turns out she's into my Brian. It took everything in me to control my wolf and not break formation and give her a beating of a lifetime, it took awhile for me to realize Brian asked us to break formation and show ourselves, I quickly stepped out of the shadows and approached them with brisk steps, while Ruby watched me wearily. As decided, the Alphas surrounded the rogues in triangular fashion facing Alpha King Brian,the rogues started to prepare to attack but were instructed to back down by Cercie,whom I presumed as the Beta, I ignored all this and continued until I was right beside Brian,who placed his hands on my waist making me relax instantaneously. I looked into his eyes and saw passionate desire burning in them, it took everything in me to not kiss him there,on the spot in front of everyone, he was addressing everyone and I almost missed it as I was completely distracted by just been this close to him. ' Alright people, Delta Greg you are in charge of security, Gamma Daemon accommodation for our guests is your assignment, Ruby meet Slyverken my mate, Alpha of the Moonlight pack and Luna of the Red moon Pack, Vernom Claw Pack and the Alpha Pack' I turned to see Ruby looking at me in surprise, I gave her a look that said"do not mess with me" ' Ruby, your men will be taken care of, you and I have a lot to discuss,shall we?' He led the way, everyone followed suit.

Chapter thirteen

Brian's Point Of View

Well, the confrontation went better than I expected, now as everyone followed me back to the pack grounds. Now am looking forward to hearing the decision of Alphas Rand, Goldberg, McNally,Twain and Finn this day just got better. As we entered the conference room, the Alphas took their seats while Ruby took Lewis's seat. Lewis and Michelle flanked us. "Alphas I think you have had enough time to think, now tell me what's your decision?' Alpha Finn stood bowed to me and said" Your Highness, on behalf of my colleagues, I apologize for the behavior of Alpha Rand. It would be a great honor for us to serve you. Please accept my oath of allegiance.The rest am sure agree with me, will do so themselves" at this each Alpha stood and swore and pledged their loyalty and that of their packs to me their new King. As I stood to address my men, I felt a mind link trying to push through, I opened the link "Commander Jerkins, is everything alright??"'Alpha, Beta my apologies for the inconvenience but we have a situation at hand, a team of our men followed a lone tango keeping tabs on movement in the Moonlight Pack back to enemy territory. They've reported massive troupe movement,looks like they plan to attack us simultaneously at dawn. The main force would hit the Red moon Pack, whiles a smaller force hit us, the Moonlight Pack keeping us occupied and distracted, everyone here is in a frenzy. Everything is chaotic' "Thanks for the heads up Commander, keep your cool and meet the opposition on your own terms, will communicate further instructions to you" ' Okay Alpha' he closed the link, I turned to see Slyverken and Michelle frowning,looks like the news has been delivered to them too. " Okay boys and girls,we came here for war and now the war has been brought to us, the enemy attacks at dawn, I want everyone rested and ready for battle, Beta Lewis will coordinate battle deployments with you later this evening, this meeting is adjourned" I stood and walked out with Slyverken, Lewis and Michelle hard on my heels. Outside the conference room I headed south straight for my private quarters, the men assigned on patrol snapped to attention as we passed them by. Once in the living room of my cabin which is located at the southern border of the pack lands, I addressed my mate. " Slyverken it would be in order for you to return back to the Moonlight Pack" " Brian it is my right and responsibility to be with you in this time of need, you can't expect me to leave you hanging here just like that do you?" " Slyverken, I understand what you are going through now, as my mate your position is beside me but you are forgetting you are an Alpha too and as an Alpha, you have a responsibility to protect and lead your pack in times like these, you are the only one who can lead the pack in this war, I can't ask your dad to lead, he's been through alot lately and this war is about us, it is about revenge and we both have a score to settle and only us can do this,so please you will have to return and lead the pack, I will lead this pack to victory and I expect the same from you" "If you wish so, Brian I will return home and lead this war from my end but I will miss you a lot""As will I, that is why we would spend the whole afternoon together you'll leave at five pm,also I will personal escort you back home, Lewis, Michelle take care of the arrangements and please leave us alone" 'Yes Alpha' they exited holding hands and snuggling, I turned to my mate, "So tell me what do you want to do?""how about we watch a movie? Then maybe we can have some popcorn  or  pizza and who knows anything else that comes to mind" "sounds like a plan to me, which movie?""mm, what type of movies do you have here?""ooh I have everything you can think of" I led the way to the giant screen situated in the middle of the room, Slyverken curled up on the loveseat, whiles I picked the movie. This date is going to be worthwhile.

Back at the Moonlight Pack house, an emergency meeting was been held.

Chapter fourteen

Jerkins' Point Of View

After briefing Alpha King Brian of the situation on the grounds, now I am stuck in an emergency meeting with Alpha Riddick (Luna Slyverken's dad),his Beta Jonas and Gamma James. This meeting is to plan for the upcoming battle but it seems as Alpha Slyverken is absent and so is Beta Michelle, no one seems to know who should lead this war. "Alpha Riddick, your skill and experience would count alot in a battle of this nature but I am not in favor of you leading the front lines,as far as I know, Alpha Slyverken and Beta Michelle should be back in a couple of hours,hence the right to lead would be theirs, our job now is to come up with a battle strategy that suit is our purpose, my men and I would be the first line of defense Gamma James would lead the second line of defense, Alpha Slyverken and Beta Michelle would lead the third line of defense, though I doubt it would come to that" 'Commander, why do you want to be the first in the battlefield?'"Gamma James, my job is to protect this pack and the only way to do that is by being on the front line, any questions on my proposed strategy?" 'Commander, your plan is a bold one, but as you rightly said,we need Slyverken's approval to implement it and she should be back by nite fall right?' "Alpha Riddick, myself, Gamma James and a team of ten wolves would escort Alpha Slyverken and Beta Michelle safely back to the pack grounds as soon as I get the order from Alpha King Brian, you can rest assured of that, besides Alpha King Brian would like to meet you personally reason I do not know" 'it is good to know, Brian cares about the men and women under his watch,just like his father. He has really grown into an Alpha his parents would have been proud of, were they here today. May their souls rest in peace' "Amen,it is decided then we await approval by Alpha Slyverken. May the Moon goddess grant us strength" '' yes " everyone assembled chorused, stood up and left. Left alone, I find myself punching holes in my proposed strategy,this is a surprise as I thought it was a solid plan but now it seems if what we know about the enemy is anything to go by, they would easily pick holes in my carefully laid plan,looks like am going to have to draw up a new plan using the structure of the pack grounds as a reference, that is the only way out of this. With that, I took some papers and started drawing up a new strategy.

Lewis's Point Of View

Alpha King Brian is stressed and tensed,I can tell and so can everyone else, Brian is not someone who feels pressure as he enjoys working under intense pressure but for the first time he is tense and I have a funny feeling it has something to do with Luna Slyverken's safety, it is strange that he is worried about her but it makes sense as she is his mate, hence he feels it is his job to keep her safe despite knowing she is more than capable of taking care of herself, talking of which I have only a few hours to spend with my mate Michelle as she leaves with her Alpha,my Luna and Queen Slyverken. " Michelle how about we go for a run? Then maybe we can have some fun before you leave for your pack?"" Ooh, I think I am going to love what you have in mind as fun, come-on let us go" with that said she shifted right in front of me leaving me gaping,eer are you coming or what? She asked through our link, this brought me back to earth, I shifted and joined her running around the perimeter of the pack like we were kids all over again. I licked behind her ears and she purred contently,this is the best first date ever.

Daemon's Point Of View

Well, taking care of young Alpha Ruby's men proved to be easier than I expected,as rogues they have learnt to be conservative,so getting them settled into the guest section of the pack house which was originally built to house a thousand people was very easy. Catherine and Grace, took care of food and now after three hours, they are all spread eagle and out cold, looks like the had a hard time getting here. Greg on the other hand looks as alert as me,he just entered the room after making sure this section of the pack house was secured more than the White House." Greg, how's everything looking?" ' Everything is good, this place is secure,I have guards posted at every turn, they will make sure that nothing funny goes on here. If they try anything funny, the guards have been authorized to knock them out anyway possible' " do not you think that is a little harsh? This guy's are out cold and they will be for at least a couple of hours,it would seem Ruby rode them hard to get here when they did, the exhaustion on their faces says it all" ' All the same,I am not taking any chances, our entire pack is at stake here,so caution now, pleasantries later. Also, Alpha King Brian has ordered everyone to rest for a couple of hours,as we are expecting to be attacked at dawn' "Yuh, I know and I am wondering when he would call us to discuss his battle strategy with us?" ' He has alot on his plate,let us give him a couple of hours to rest then we call on him. Agreed?' " Agreed"  "Now let us go take some rest ourselves" with that said, we walked into the kitchen where our mates were doing the dishes. " Come-on ladies,it is time to take a nap" we walked towards them, kissed them and carried them bridal style out of the kitchen and the guest quarters heading straight for our personal quarters.
