Chapter fifteen

Slyverken's Point Of View

Brian is being extra sweet and gentle with me today. Today, I am seeing a romantic side to him,I never knew about. Beneath the ruthless, unyielding exterior there is a soft compassionate, caring and romantic guy, I would never have thought it possible but finding your mate can bring out the hidden sides in you I have been told,now I am seeing it for myself. After arriving at his cabin, he asked me to take a seat and relax, whiles he gave me a foot massage, afterwards he set up the flat screen TV and we watched romantic comedy movies,one after the other, he prepared popcorn to go along with the movie. Now,here he is sitting in the loveseat with me curled up on him, I must admit I find this whole position extremely arousing as my body warms up anywhere our bodies touch. Every touch is like an electric bolt passing through my body and with my wolf purring contently in my head,I am on cloud nine. So it came as a surprise to me when he dipped his head towards me for a kiss, just when the hero in the movie profess his undying love for the heroine. His kiss was gentle yet demanding,slow yet passionate and within seconds,I had granted him access, this he used fully to his advantage, drawing me to a deep kiss,deeper than any other before it,this kiss seems to say, I adore,love and care for you,it is my life's work to care for you and protect you. I felt so protected,I did not realize when I started returning the kiss in equal intensity. Within minutes I felt so lightheaded,all I could think about was how good it feels to be kissed by a man who would move mountains if needed to keep me safe and I did not want the kiss to end but I was running out of air and needed to break for some air, luckily he sensed it and broke the kiss. I gasped for air, trying to get some oxygen to my oxygen deprived lungs, I looked up to see his face and the passion in his eyes blew me away. He looked at me quickly and said" do you want to continue? You know where this will end right baby? But before that I am hungry I need to eat. So Would you like to eat some pancakes?" 'Ok, but this time I am cooking' "Ok, the kitchen is all yours"I went to the kitchen to prepare the pancakes he was watching me from behind and before I knew what was going on he came up from behind and picked me up bridal  style and placed me on the counter of the kitchen cabinet and started raining kisses on me, I responded in equal measure running my hands through his hair and kissing him all over at this phase I noticed his eyes change from from blue to deep blue due to this I knew his wolf was in control and before I knew what was happening he dipped his head towards my shoulder and started kissing the crook between my shoulder blades gradually he extended his canines and marked me, the pain I felt was nothing compared to the pleasure the pleasure I felt emanating from the link I signed contently then told him "now it is my turn," that said  I pushed him towards the wall where he stood using the wall as support all the while watching me intently and I started kissing him and gradually dipped my head towards his shoulder blades where I knew the joints met and my spot that is waiting for me to mark it, I allowed my wolf to take control and extended my canines and in one quick move I marked him claiming him as mine, in that instance I felt the link established between us deepen and at the same time I could feel every other person in the pack, in essence I just became the luna of his pack and he just became my Alpha now I am the queen of the Alpha Pack, Luna of the Red moon Pack and Vernon Claw Pack, the power that flowed through me in that instant was so much that I felt dizzy and almost lost my footing but luckily he held on to me and led me to the dinning table where he guided me to take a seat,all this while the look on his face was one of utter concern. " Are you okay?" "Yes, I just felt dizzy from all the power flowing through me, man how are you able to handle it? It felt like I was overdosed on cocaine, having so many Alphas to draw from puts you at a constant high, how do you do it?" He c****d his eyebrows at my comparison and said" ooh, you get used to it. You felt dizzy because that was the first time you felt so much power,now you and I are even, what you felt earlier during our training session is nothing compared to this,now you weld as much strength as I,use it wisely"' you do not have to tell me twice' and just like that we started kissing again, he broke the kiss and started licking his mark on my shoulder making me shudder in delight.

Chapter sixteen

Brian's Point Of View

Marking Slyverken was the smartest thing I have ever done, by the Moon goddess I am one lucky Alpha. She is not only gorgeous, intelligent, decisive and compassionate just the right combination in a Luna and Queen, she is also breathtakingly good at everything she does. I marked her just above the shoulder where it would be visible for all to see that I have laid claim to her. Now that we are linked, I can feel her every emotion and our mate link also linked me to the entire Moonlight Pack, just as she is now linked to the entirety of the packs under my command. She just became the most powerful Luna alive a lot of people would kill to be in her place but it is hers by destiny, the moon goddess does work in mysterious ways. After she marked me, I couldn't and still can't describe how I felt,it was like I was on cloud nine ticked by a tiny dose of pain. The pain was like a mosquito bite but the pleasure was unbelievably intense, people say your mate brings out the best in you, now I believe it, my world now revolves around Slyverken and I am already dreading the moment,we would have to part ways in preparation for this war. As we were kissing, I was unconsciously checking the time, I almost screamed when I realized it was five minutes to five pm, which means we have less than one hour to get ready for departure and I am here doing what, I broke off the kiss, stood up and straightened up" aah, we are running out of time, you might want to get started on the pancakes, we have barely ten minutes before the others get here" she screamed, jumped up and ran into the kitchen to prepare the pancakes, in less than five minutes the whole room was filled with the delicious aroma of pancakes, my mate is a good cook too,am flattered." Baby boo, would like to have your meal now or would like to freshen up first?" " Am definitely freshening up, I will be in the shower join me when you are done" "Am on my way" "Okay" I left for the shower, where Slyverken joined me after a few minutes. After the shower,we were having dinner when Lewis entered the room" pardon my intrusion Alpha, Luna but everyone is ready and it is time for the meeting to start" "okay,send them in" the Alphas entered and took their seats " good evening, as you are all aware our Luna will be leaving for her pack in a few minutes to enable her lead the fight for the protection of her pack, it is my duty to protect and lead this fight myself but as I will always be busy defending my lands, I have to assign someone to be her shield through out the entire duration of the battle,this person would help Commander Jerkins in protecting Luna Slyverken, Alpha Ripley, Alpha Ironside, Alpha McNally, you are the members of the escort team, Alpha Denise you will be Luna Slyverken's shadow through out the war. Any questions?" 'My King, who leads the escort team?' " why, myself and Beta Lewis would be coming with us, Gamma Daemon, Delta Greg, you both are in charge of the pack in our absence, you know what to do should you encounter any problems?"' of course,Alpha. It would be an honor" ' any other questions? If none this meeting is adjourned for now and would continue upon my return until then I entreat you all to prepare yourselves physically, emotionally, and psychologically for this war, you may take your leave. Alpha Ripley, Alpha Ironside, Alpha McNally and Alpha Denise kindly wait outside, we leave in five minutes" 'Yes Alpha King Brian' with this everyone stood and left "  Beta Lewis is everything ready for our departure?" ' Yes Alpha, Jenkins and James would meet us at the border as per your request, Everyman under our command is prepped and ready even Ruby and her men are ready, this guys do not know what will hit them tomorrow when they do attack,it is going to be epic, that I assure you' " Good, in that case,here is the plan boys, me, you Lewis, Daemon and Greg would hold the line just as we always do but this time,we let them bring the fight to us not the other way round, the Alphas and their various unit is would engage when I give the signal,as would we but my real aim is Alphas Red, Harris and Gin, this time there will be no mercy not from me. So, boys what do you think?" ' it is a solid plan Alpha, all scenarios have been taken into account,this should be pretty straightforward, or what you think '' it is sound, very sound in fact.'  okay let us get down to it then" 'yes Alpha' "ooh, where is Michelle?" " She is outside giving instructions to Ruby and her pack, plus she is anxious to get on the road, she is arranging security for the trip, Alpha" "that is interesting to know, she has taken her duties as Beta female seriously, okay it is time we hit the road, Gamma Daemon, Delta Greg take care everything in our absence"'you do not have anything to worry about Alpha, consider it done" I stood and have gave a hand to Slyverken" my lady, shall we?" She took my outstretched hand, smiling coyly " let us get this party on the road" " with pleasure" everyone stood and were waiting for us to lead the way,we did. Outside my cabin, the pack was alive, everyone was getting ready, people were training, others meditating, the Alphas were watching over their charges keenly trying to spot mistakes, the level of discipline on display was breathtaking to say the least, Daemon and Greg excused themselves and went to supervise everything. Alpha Ripley, Alpha Ironside,  Alpha McNally and Alpha Denise detached themselves from what they were doing and took their positions behind us as we stepped down from the Port side of the cabin,even Beta Michelle, showed up behind Slyverken, everything is in place now " let us shift now,we are traveling as wolves" Slyverken and Michelle excused themselves and went behind the nearest tree where they shifted, minutes later,two brown colored wolves stepped out from behind the trees and joined us, I nodded towards my men and we took off our shirts and shifted there and then, Slyverken's wolf did an eye roll, while licking her lips "take it easy darling or we will not make out of here" I said through our link 'hey that is not fair, you get to read my thoughts easily, not cool' " I can because,you are not making any effort to hide them and by the way now is not the time for such thoughts"  "okay, people let us get into formation, Lewis you are my flank, Michelle, Slyverken's flank, the rest to the rear, now let us move" wordlessly they assumed their assigned positions and we set off at quick run, the journey was uneventful and we arrived in thirty minutes, outside the border, Commander Jerkins and Gamma James were waiting with ten men,as soon as they spotted us they came and flanked us leading the way to the pack. " Commander Jerkins give me a situational update"' Alpha, you would be pleased to know the boys are ready, the pack is fortified, the only route of entry is the Eastern border,where we have deliberately loosened security this should draw them in plus we intend to use the pack ground's slope to our advantage'" good how about the security of the women, children and the elderly?"' Alpha Riddick was tasked with that responsibility, though he does not look happy about it, the women, children and elderly are being moved to the underground safe house, the young warriors in training, that is aged ten and below, have been tasked with their protection'"okay nice work Commander" ' it is an honor to be of service,My king' he bowed while saying this.

Chapter seventeen

Slyverken's Point Of View

Brian is something else,on the way to my pack,he has been quiet listening intently for any sound out of the ordinary in the forest but now that we are almost there,he has been questioning, Jerkins about the security measures put in place, I know this because this conversation was not being done using a private link,so I am privy to it. "What do think Luna?" " I think Jerkins plan is sound but the only thing I would change is relax security on all the whole pack, let them think we are in a frenzy in their eagerness, they would attack hence blindly walking into our trap. Once, they are within the pack grounds the warriors who would be hiding in plain site would surround the entire perimeter,we will then face them on our terms as they would be trapped, their battle plan would be in disarray hence making it even easier to finish them off" "well, I have to admit Luna,that is one hell of a way to fight, they will not know what hit them nor will they have time to react appropriately the battle should be over sooner than you can blink, innovative Luna, looks like we will make a good team after all" "of course Brian, do not forget you trained me personally during your stay here, plus James and Micheal have been of immerse help in battle strategy planning,so I have learnt from the best I should be good better still I should be able to rub shoulders with the best,who happens to be my mate as well do not you think so" " absolutely, my love.Jerkins you are in great company and my queen you are in great hands. By the way Jerkins,Alpha Denise would be Luna's shadow for the battle but that does not mean you are completely off the hook" ' do not worry Alpha, I would die before letting anything happen to my queen and Luna, you have my word as your right hand" " that is more than enough for me Jerkins, I know you and Alpha Denise would keep her safe, that is if Beta Michelle and Gamma James do not beat you to it. James, how is Michael? You look in good shape yourself." 'My King, Micheal is now mated and is eagerly looking forward to meeting you again. As per your last instructions, I have to be in top shape to take care of Queen Slyverken's safety. It is truly an honor to serve you' "guys, you might want to can the chit chat,we are home" we have entered my pack grounds and the whole pack had assembled, eagerly waiting our arrival outside the pack house, the pack erupted in cheers as soon as they saw us. I saw my dad, standing on the raised platform watching me and smiling proudly, it seems the news of Alpha King Brian been my mate and the fact that we marked each other has reached my pack, everyone is in a jubilant mood but wait how could that information reach my pack that quickly? Only one person could do something like that to me, I turned towards my Beta and best friend Michelle to verify my suspicions but she avoided eye contact thereby validating my theory, this girl is blabbermouth, she's going to be a death of me soon" ok boys I think it is time we shifted back to our human forms, James where are our clothes?" ' Alpha, your clothes are in your room,so are Alpha King Brian's, Betas Lewis and Michelle's are in Beta Michelle's room, the rest are to follow me' "well you heard him, Brian you are with me, Lewis you are with your mate, the rest should follow  Gamma James , we meet back in 5 minutes" 'Yes Luna' Brian and I headed left from the crowd to my personal quarters, Lewis and Michelle headed right to her quarters, whiles the rest followed Gamma James to the guest quarters, which is located directly behind the pack house which is located in the middle of the pack grounds and is where everyone has gathered awaiting us, we quickly changed into appropriate clothing,me in my favorite blue designer jeans and  purple sleeveless top that hugs my figure perfectly drawing out my curves and topped with my favorite blue sneakers, some would say I am dressing to please and entice in one go, Brian on the other hand opted for the convectional sleeveless basketball top, tight brown jeans and a black low cut laced sneakers,we came out to meet Betas Lewis and Michelle, Gamma James, Commander Jerkins,Alphas Ripley, Ironside, McNally and Denise waiting for us outside our door. They bowed to us and assumed their respective positions behind us. The short walk from my room to the podium setup in front of the pack house, felt long as everyone's attention was fixed on us and most especially on the mark on my neck, which is very evident thanks to the top I was wearing, this made me self conscious. I gave everyone a shy smile, when I mounted the stage with Brian beside me and the others falling in line. My father embraced me happily and turned to shake hands with Brian and congratulate him too, mom on the other hand was beside herself with joy after finding out that not only me, but Michelle, Bernie and Grace are all mated now,she couldn't stop the tears from coming. " Mommy, now is not the time to cry, now we have a war at hand,we will talk about how quickly things happened later, okay?" She nodded amid tears. " By the way where is Bernie?"' My queen, I thought you would never ask' I turned to see Bernie standing behind me beaming with joy, quickly we hugged. " Ladies, if you do not mind the pack is waiting for it's Alpha to speak and introduce her mate to the pack officially" " dad, you do not have to rush it, Bernie we will catch up later okay?" "Definitely my queen" I turned to address my pack " good evening everyone,I am honored that you all made time out of your busy schedule to be here at such short notice,as you are all aware, we are at war. The enemy has declared war on us thinking we are weak, what they do not know is by declaring war they have made us stronger, when the enemy attacks they would find as more than ready but to other news, I am sure everyone here knows I have found my mate and I would like to introduce him formally to you, meet Alpha King Brian Armstrong, Alpha of the Red moon Pack, Vernom Claw Pack and the Alpha Pack and my King. Brian, the Moonlight Pack, pack Alpha King Brian. The reaction of the pack was mixed but excitement was the leading emotion on display
