Weird Introduction

Tasha swallowed the saliva built up within her as Evan pulled her towards their car. Her heart throbbed like she had just run a marathon. Ryder got out of the car when they were just a few inches away from it. "Where do you think you're going?" He asked. "Umm...actually," Tasha started but Evan stopped her. He removed his notebook and pen from the backpack and began writing. Ryder looked at Tasha with questioning looks. Tasha gave him a faint smile and continued looking at Evan who was done writing by that time. 'I told Ms Tasha to come with us.' Ryder looked at the note and then at Tasha. "Get in," he signalled and went back to the drivers seat. Instead of sitting at his usual place, at the front of the car, Evan sat at the back where Tasha was. "I am not a driver," Ryder commented. Evan covered his mouth with his hand to avoid having to laugh at his father's comment. "Go to your dad, Evan," Tasha patted his head. Evan looked at her and shook his head. A smirk played on Ryders lips as he continued, "the car is not going to move," he remembered his first encounter with Stacy. That was also how their first conversation was. *Flashback* "I need a doctor!" He demanded as he stood at the reception of the hospital. The kids of his troop were badly injured after the attack of their rival troop who intruded in his area. "I am sorry sir, but the doctors are committed," the nurse spoke. Without further ado, he rushed towards the children's ward and scanned in each and every room he passed by. Then his eyes fell on a woman looking after a kid. "Don't worry, the pain will fade," she patted on his head and gave him the injection. "Aah," the kid winced in pain but by that time she was done with her work. "We are done," she clapped to give relief to the child. Ryder entered the ward, carried the doctor in his arms and began racing. "Hey, leave me alone," she struggled while hitting his chest. However, her force left no impact on him. "Listen, I have kids who are injured, you have to treat them," he dropped her at the door of his car. "Lemme at least bring my kit, how am I going to treat them without my kit?" She questioned. He waited for her in her car as she rushed to her dispensary to grab her things. Helping people was the first thing in her motto hence she was instantly ready to go with the stranger. In a way, the stranger gave her some kind of spark which she couldn't help but feel. Upon reaching near the car again, she decided to sit at the back of the car to avoid his touch. A smirk played on his lips. He stated, "I am not a driver," she rolled her eyes. "This car is not going to move unless you sit near me," he seemed to have understood her plight. However, he had to pull her leg. That was what Ryder was known for among his close friends. *End of Flashback* "Mr Ryder?" Tasha question again. This time she was in the passenger seat beside him. Ryder clenched his jaws. Without giving her a second look, he ordered, "just sit with Evan." Tasha's brain spent time processing Ryders words. "Sorry?" She asked to demand clarity. "Go sit with Evan," In a loud tone, Ryder ordered once again. His voice startled Tasha. In a span of a few minutes, Tasha moved out of the car and entered the backseat. "Your dad is weird," she whispered to Evan who instantly chuckled. Ryder glared and pointed his index finger towards her, about to say something. Instead he sighed and started driving. The whole ride was silent. "Psychiatrists these days resort to these methods to build a child emotionally," Tasha broke the silence. "Didn't you ever consider taking him to one?" She asked. "I've taken him to many, he just never trusted them enough to give in to them," Tasha nodded in understanding. "I thought of giving him time." "Don't worry," she stated. "He will be fine, I'll help him." Ryder looked at Tasha who was patting Evan's head. He could sense her genuine care towards him. "Thanks, you're actually the first person he's given in to." "Hmm." Tasha tried to figure out the way they were heading towards incase she had to go back herself. However, they stayed far inside the jungle with so many turns. On thinking about the direction, Tasha's mind turned foggy. "How will I go back?" She asked herself. Her words fell on Ryder's ears. "I'll drop you or ask someone to," She heaved a sigh of relief and immediately stopped struggling on finding the way. Greenery was all over the place. There was no space for even a car to pass. Ryder stopped right there and stated, "We have to walk for a bit now." Tasha couldn't help but wonder, 'such a rich man and look at the place he stays at.' She nodded and followed Evan and Ryder. There were sudden movements in the bushes they passed towards. Tasha's pulses rose just after she realised the movements. She looked at Evan and Ryder who were least bothered by the sounds. Slyly, she caught up her pace and walked with Ryder while constantly looking behind them. She read in a newspaper the rumours about the forest having wolves. "Is this area safe?" She asked. "What do you mean?" Ryder chuckled. "I mean, I read about wolves," she started but Ryder cut her off. "I am a wolf," he stated but a guffaw laugh escaped Tasha's mouth. To the extent where she held her stomach which was aching by then. Evan and Ryder looked at each other and shrugged. "I didn't know you could joke," she added in bits with tears rolling down her cheeks. "Let's get going now, or else the wolves might hear you," Ryder sarcastically commented. This made Tasha on her toes again. Her ears were paying attention to even the slightest noise from nature. "This is so scary, Ryder." Soon, their destination had arrived. It was an old wooden house but well maintained one. A bit cranky and made noise as they took their first steps in. As soon as they stepped in the house, so many new faces awaited them. All faces twinkling with excitement to see the lady Ryder brought home. The spouses looked at each other with excitement. They knew their way would clear out only if their alpha got a mate. "Who is she?" Syles asked telepathically. "This is Tasha, Evans teacher," he pointed towards her. "And Tasha, this is my family." One of the girl, approached her and held her hand. She had long blonde hair, green eyes and a sharp face making her look unique. "She will be a part of us," her comment made Tasha uncomfortable. She turned towards Ryder and signalled him to make it stop. On her statement, all the other members shouted as if they had just won a war. "This is Aliya," Ryder spoke. "Very friendly." "Oh," Tasha nervously nodded. To ease the tension, Evan pulled her out of there and guided her to his bedroom. There, he knew no one was allowed to follow. Evan removed his notebook and wrote, 'My family is weird but they all good.' "I understand," Tasha giggled. "What did you want to show me?" She questioned. Evan quickly opened his cupboard, removed a small box and opened it. There were a number of old photos and letters there. Tasha happened to see the same friendship band she gave Evan. "It's the same," she compared to the one Evan was wearing on his write. 'My mom.' He wrote. Evan then removed a photo from the box and handed it to Tasha. Tasha's eyes were left widely opened.
