Tasha and Ryder's Hate

1036 Words
"Are you okay?" Ryder asked his son while caressing his face. Evan nodded and showed him the friendship band excitedly. It was the first time Tasha saw him smile. Before she realised, she was smiling too while watching him trying to communicate with his father. "Sir, I request you to leave the room," Tasha started after Ryder heaved a sigh of relief. "This is a classroom, all the kids are safe with me." Ryder turned to face Tasha. "I'm even more worried now," he moved towards her. "such an irresponsible teacher." Shaking his head, he frowned in disgust while glaring at her. "Suppose you see another handsome man and get lost in his charm," he continued. Tasha rolled her eyes and showed him the door. "My kid is not safe with you, I have to talk to the principal." Tasha glared at him. 'How pathetic!' She thought. "You're most welcome to do that Sir, but for now, you should leave." Tasha rolled her eyes and turned to the board to write notes for the kids to copy. With glaring eyes, he stormed out of the room. Taking huge steps, he approached the principals office. "I don't want Tasha as my child's teacher." "Huh?" The principal asked as a frown formed on his face, revealing his wrinkles. "Why?" He asked. "I don't like her," he spoke with a stern voice. "But Sir, she's the best middle grade teacher." "I don't care, I'm taking my son away, lemme know after you have changed his teacher." He walked away from the office and at his sons doorstep again. This time he saw Tasha beside his son, showing him a formula. He barged in again, grabbed his sons hand and walked out of the classroom. A wide gap appeared on Tasha's mouth. She was left shocked by the sudden incident. "Class, continue your work, I'll be right back," she spoke after sometime of silence and went towards the principals office. It was only a few seconds walk to the office. "What is wrong with Mr Ryder?" She complained to the principal. The principal couldn't help but rub his forehead. "So, he did what he said." He shook his head and explained everything that happened in his office a while ago. "Why should we do what he wants?" She furiously asked. "He donates a large amount of money to the school, we have to," upon hearing this, Tasha knew what was coming next. She instantly cut the principals words by saying, "what class should I shift to now?" "Year 4 is the best option for you." Rolling her eyes, she left the office, still not convinced of the reason of having to listen to Ryder. Tasha continued teaching her lesson for the last time at class three. They decided she would shift to the next class the other day. After a long hectic day, it was time to leave. Harry made sure to complete all his work earlier so that he could leave with Tasha. Excitement built up within him as he thought about what he would talk to Tasha about. One thing he decided, he would get a bit personal in order to get close to her. "Hey!" He almost exclaimed when his eyes fell on her leaving. "Tasha!" He called out again. She quickly turned to face him and a smile formed on her lips. By then, she had realised what he felt for her. "Oh umm hi," Tasha responded when he got closer. "Do you wanna go for coffee?" He asked instantly. "Umm...I'm a bit busy this afternoon," she responded. For Tasha, dating a co-worker was a big no. In a way, she was not ready to move on after her terrible break up. Seeing her love with someone else in the same room broke her heart to a thousand pieces. It was from that day when she decided not to fall in love again. "Oh," Harry folded his face in disappointed and turned to face his legs. "How about tomorrow?" His face expressions turned from disappointed to excited in two shakes of a lambs tail. "Okay then," she nodded with a faint smile. "Shall I drop you somewhere?" He signalled to his car. Knowing it might not be a good idea, Tasha instantly refused. "I prefer walking." "Well, see you tomorrow," he hesitantly stated. Tasha giggled and walked towards the gate. Her surrounding was quite serene. Her house was just a few minutes from the school. After she got her job, she made sure to get a place near the school to avoid inconvenience. There was only one drawback, trees covered all of the area. There were only around four houses which were scattered at the place. One had to walk for forty five minutes to get to the area where more people resided. After a few minutes, she had arrived at the doorstep of her two bedroom house. It was a small house made of concrete. The only white colour house in the whole area. It was easy to spot the house at night because the white colour made it look unique. From the inside, it was much more smaller, only one floor, the shape of a square where the sitting and dining room was in the middle, the two rooms were on the left side upon entering the house and the kitchen on the right. It wasn't a spacious one but it was the perfect size for her. Tasha quickly switched on the lights. It was still day time but being covered by huge trees made it look dark all the time. She walked to her bedroom to rest for sometime and for the first time she realised something strange. Her eyes naturally widened as she gulped on the saliva formed on her mouth. Her perfectly made up bed was untidy, like as if someone had been there. She hesitantly looked around the room, her heart beating rapidly. With shaking legs, she slowly walked out of the room and looked at each object of the house to spot anything suspicious. Nothing else was amiss. Everything was the same so what about her bed? 'Maybe I forgot to make the bed myself,' she murmured, convincing herself.
