CHAPTER 21
BONNIE
For once, I believed him.
My smile faded.
His gaze dropped to my mouth again.
Then lower.
The towel had loosened.
I realised it at exactly the same moment he did.
His fingers were resting inches from where the fabric crossed over my chest.
One movement would have been enough.
Lorenzo didn’t make it.
His eyes came back to mine.
Waiting.
That restraint did something far more dangerous to me than if he’d simply pulled the towel away.
My fingers curled against his chest.
I kissed him again.
His hand moved to my thigh.
Bare skin.
Slowly upward.
My breath broke against his mouth.
He stopped.
Waited.
I didn’t tell him to.
His fingers moved another inch.
My head tipped back as his mouth left mine and brushed along my jaw.
Then my neck.
A gasp escaped me.
