King Henry was enthusiastic when he learned that I had gifted my Blood Pet with my blood. He took over preparations for her Acceptance Ceremony. He invited vampire nobles from neighboring kingdoms. He spared no expense, even having a massive statue of Satan commissioned for the event.
When the nobles arrived, King Henry threw a grand banquet to welcome them. He asked me to attend, and to bring my Pet. I decided to humor him.
I suppose Henry’s excitement was natural. I had not created a vampire since I had turned him, centuries ago.
I wondered whether he and my Pet would get along once she was changed.
