The whispers on our table get louder the moment Aziel declares he is courting me, which is not really the case. He is not courting me. I don’t know anything about that. He is just purposely trying to stir them up and get all their attention on us. For what reason? I don’t know. That’s just what I can think of. “He is courting you?” Lindsay leans closer to whisper a question. I turn to her with a stern expression. “He is not.” “But—” Lindsay bites her tongue and presses her lips into a thin line when I silently threaten her with a menacing gaze. I quickly face Aziel and pull his arm. He immediately gives me his attention by turning his head to look back at me. “Take that back,” I firmly order him. Acting as if he is naive and innocent, he tilts his head and asks, “Take back what?”
