"Maxine!"
I immediately stood up as I heard a knock on the door and my name being called. It was Noemie's voice, so I got up quickly and approached the door to open it.
"Yes, Noemie?" I asked as I opened the door and faced the woman.
Noemie didn't respond right away and seemed stunned by my appearance.
"The driver was asking if you're ready to go to Sir Enzo's office," she said.
I hesitated for a moment because, to be honest, I didn't want to go to Sir's office and work. Even if it's just paperwork, typing, filing, etc... Why did Ethan's secretary have an emergency now? Now I'm the one forced to go there?
"Ah, I'll be there in a moment, Noemie. Thank you," was my reply.
"Okay, I'll inform the driver. Just go to the car park, okay? By the way... your outfit suits
