“No.” I shook my head, staring at it and again shaking my head. “No. No way. No. No way.”
“I heard you the first time.” James seemed unaffected when he walked towards it, dragging me behind him. His hand pressed the key fob in my palm and I felt dread creeping up my spine and spreading all over my body.
“I… I can’t,” I whispered, thinking back to the smell of medicine and blood in that cold hospital room. “You can’t do this.”
