Seven A knock sounded on my hull while I was making breakfast. “Come on in!” I yelled out the companionway. I heard the various noises of someone climbing onto the boat. I was freshly cleaned, having swum that morning in the cool, crisp water around my boat. I had watched Jonas paddle to shore and wander around in the dawn; an early riser, he was. He appeared in my companionway, carrying a coconut in one hand. I smiled at him, and he reached down to pass it to me, our fingers brushing. I laughed. “Thank you for the coconuts. I love them.” He smiled shyly. “They are your favorite.” I gently wedged the coconut in my freezer to chill faster. It would be perfectly cool in the afternoon heat. “Where are you getting them from?” He gestured vaguely toward shore and leaned against the count
