I’m actually anxious. Caden’s lips drop open as he processes what I just said, his emerald eyes transfixed on me. We stay like that, just awkwardly staring at each other for an eternity before a big smile creeps onto his flushed cheeks.
“You might be pregnant?” Caden repeats my earlier words slowly, his voice low and full of wonderment. “Why aren’t you sure?”
I blush and grip my towel. Water is dripping down onto the floor and onto my shaking hands. “My inner wolf said there was something growing inside of me, and she is confident it’s a baby.”
Caden’s gaze turns soft as he drinks at the sight of me being bashful, and then he stands up from the bed. His heart seems to be bursting with joy. It’s clear that he is happy with the news and envelops me in his warm embrace.
