FATE IN BUSINESS

366 Words
Velda’s POV I sat at my desk, flipping through the latest designs when a knock interrupted my thoughts. "Come in," I called, glancing up to see my secretary, Janet. "Madam, the representatives from Triton Studios are scheduled for a meeting after lunch," she informed me. I nodded, pushing my documents aside. "Thank you, Janet. I’ll be ready." As she left, I leaned back, allowing myself a brief moment of relaxation. Business had been moving fast, and Jance’s Fashion was gaining recognition. This collaboration could be a game-changer. I quickly reorganized my files and walked toward the conference room. *In the Conference Room* I sat waiting for the representatives to arrive when Janet re-entered. "Madam, they’re here." I stood as the door opened, but the sight before me left me momentarily stunned. Him. The man I had seen the previous night. "Jaden?" I blurted out, my eyes widening in shock. He chuckled, shaking his head. "Sorry, Ms. Jance. You must be mistaken. I’m Priden Triton." The voice—deep, smooth—was undeniably his. My heart raced as I tried to piece together this unexpected twist of fate. "You… you sound exactly like someone I know." "Well, I get that a lot," he said with an easy smile, extending his hand. "Shall we discuss business?" I hesitated for a second before shaking his hand. "Of course. Please, have a seat." We got down to business. Priden presented his proposal, explaining how Triton Studios could help promote Jance’s Fashion through magazine features and media advertisements. The opportunity was golden. "Your designs are exceptional," Priden complimented. "With my magazine’s reach, we could elevate both of our brands." "That sounds promising," I admitted. "I have an appointment soon, but why don’t we finalize the deal and let our secretaries handle the paperwork?" Priden leaned back, grinning. "I like the way you think." We signed the agreement, sealing the collaboration. As he stood to leave, he paused. "It was a pleasure working with you, Velda." "Likewise, Priden," I replied. As he walked out, I let out a deep breath, sinking into my chair. Fate had an interesting way of working, and somehow, I had a feeling this was just the beginning.
