Claire's POV
Once we got to the hospital, I guided Xander straight to Grandma's ward. Grandma had been moved out of the ICU and into a private suite earlier that afternoon.
Luckily, she was awake and alert when we arrived.
"Grandma, Xander and I came to see you," I called softly.
When Grandma spotted Xander standing behind me, a flicker of confusion crossed her tired eyes. It vanished in a heartbeat, though, and she broke into a warm smile.
"There's my sweet baby girl! Come here, come here."
I laced my fingers through Xander's and pulled him to her bedside, ready to make the introduction.
"Grandma, this is Xander Graham. He's your grandson-in-law."
