I closed my eyes and opened my mind. I felt the Eye again, and I focused on it. Slowly, I extended my hand, trying to reach for it.
But then, I felt a sudden sensation. A cold chill ran down my spine, and the ground beneath my feet began to shake.
"No!" the leader screamed. "Get away from it! Don't touch it!"
I ignored him, continuing my efforts to touch the Eye. But suddenly, something slammed into me, knocking me backward. My body flew through the air and landed on the ground with a loud thud.

I groaned and pushed myself up. I took a moment to collect myself before answering.
