I sat down inside the dark cave. I tried to stay calm, but as soon as I saw the torches lit around the cave, the memories of my past life began flooding back to me. I remembered what it was like to grow up in a house full of people who loved and protected me. I remembered how everything felt safe and peaceful. I buried my face in my hands, feeling tears streaming down my cheeks. This was so unfair. Why did I have to lose everything just because I had the power to change the werewolf community.
