The school bell rang indicating the recess was over.

Virat was going towards his class when he overheard a bunch of students

"guess what whom chirag is on date with today" a girl asked mischiviously

"who is it , come on tell me i will die out of curiosity" another girl pleaded.

listening to their talks Virat shook his head on their stupidity and continue to walk away

"zoey" the girl answered and Virat just stopped in his tracks. its like his whole world turn upside down

"really ? you mean that papa's girl. " she asked shocked

Virat quickly moved toward them

"yes that papa's girl , and you never know what they might be doing right now" said the first girl and everyone starts to laugh. as soon as their gaze fall on virat they all stopped laughing. Virat was looking like a raging bull. he can't heat anything nasty about zoey. he was glaring fire at them.

he walked near them as the girls gulped nervously

"where is zoey?" asked virat in very dangerous tone

"i don't know " the girl replied instantly

"I am asking for the last time where has chirag taken her" Virat again asked this time a little louder.

"i really don't know, go and ask his freinds" the other girl told in a low tone

Virat paced toward them fuming " If I ever heard anyone of you badmouthing zoey, it won't be good for you, get it" Virst warned and start searching for zoey.

zoey was on a date with chirag. yeah a date, almost all of her friends have boyfriend or girlfriend but of course she wasn't allowed to have one. now a days its just a trend to have a boyfriend. just like we have trends with clothes that changes after a while similiarly these days people changes partner after some time. that very essence of pure love and selfless affection has lost somewhere. it is really hard to find a person who will love you unconditionally

Chirag was the bad boy of school. he has dated a lot of girls and this time he asked zoey out. at first she was hesitant but under peer pressure , when they teased her being daddy's little girl she agreed. for her its just a date but for chirag it is a challenge.

Chirag was an orphan. he was really good at studies so he got scholarship and get admitted into this privileged school. but when observe the surrounding and confronted with rich kids he developed a sense of inferiority. he felt like he doesn't belong here. but he didn't give up and so that no one can bully him or make him feel bad he transform into a bad boy. he didnt want to go back to orphanage so he form his own gang and now he is the bully of the school. no one dares to mess with him. he has beaten a lot of students who tried to cross him. he was a hot topic of discussion among girls because of his macho looks.

No one ever dares to propose zoey as everyone know about her dad and her protector at school Virat. although Virat has no problems with chirag but he didn't really like him and he has already told zoey to stay away from them. it frustated her to be again instructed what to do and what not . when chirag came to knew about it he instantly ask her out. chirag was very competitive and ambitious. and to date her was a challenge for him.

Chirag took her to secluded corner of the school. it was the old hostel that is now vacant and soon to be reconstructed. there was greenery around the building. no one visits there. chirag and zoey sat on a bench. Chirag was initially planning to take her somewhere outside of the school to which zoey denied. she didnt want her father to know about this. going on a date is like a adventure for her. trying something new of course peer pressure. but zoey has no idea what chirag is capable of. he was a devil in disguise. he can do anything to win. he was fighting a invisible war with everyone. his insecurities has take him to a point where he seems everyone as his enemy. he feels everyone wants to belittle him for his poor background and he was not ready to lose to anyone in any way.

Virat was looking for zoey everywhere in the school campus like a mad man. like he was searching for his life. he look for her in the classes, school gardens, canteen, play ground , at swimming pool, basketball court but couldnt find her now. at this point tears were started to form in his eyes. he didn't believe chirag a single bit. He knew the king of person he is. Virat pull his hair in frustration climbing up the stairs to the terrece. but they were not even there. he went to edge of the terrece. put his both hands on the boundary wall and bow his head in helplessness.

a heaved a long sigh and as he tilt his head upward he saw silhouette of two people on a bench outside the old hostel building. and he knew its them. ' i should have thought about it he will take her to a place least visited by people. '

Virat's whole body filled with rage and he marched toward them. descending the stairs he ran without caring about anyone. pushing students out of his way he ran.

Adarsh saw Virat running like maniac and he followed him too.

Chirag came closer to zoey and encircled his arm around her shoulders. It was very awkward for her. she has never been in such close proximity with any guy. she was feeling uncomfortable which can be seen on her face clearly. but Chirag has nothing to do with it. he was smiling innocently. for him he was challenging Virat.

"has anyone told you are such a divine beauty , i feel like i am spelled by your splendour" said Chirag cheesily . zoey's eyeballs darted from her extreme left to extreme right of her eye ball in disbelief finally resting at centre. she couldn't understand how can someone be so cheesy.

chirag caress her cheek with back of his hand making it unbearable for zoey and she tried to move away from him.

she was too uneasy to handle it and now she knows all this dating thing is not for her. but she has to spend some time with him so she can too brag about her date with the hunk of the school. she didn't wanted to be teased again by her friends.

so remove his arm from her shoulder and make some distance between them forcing a smile

chirag smiled too in understanding but in real he didn't care about anyone. "Tell me one thing I have my next period free how are you here "asked Zoey

Chirag gave her a proud smile

"I am going to bunk the class" he revealed."

Listening to which she was a bit amazed

"What if teacher find out" Zoey inquired again

"Take a chill pill, you are such a kid. And it's not the first time I am bunking a class I did it almost daily I even have bunked the school. Having a date here was never in my plan it is because of you we are here or I would have taken you somewhere really nice. You know it's so cool to bunk classes and have fun." He informed

"Wow you are really cool" Zoey admired his life full of fun unlike her. After that they were silent for a while

"so tell me about yourself" chirag said breaking the awkward silence

"like what?" zoey asked confused

"like your favourite colour" chirag suggested and suddenly he was pulled from his place and held by his collar. Zoey gasped at the sudden appearance of virat. she was scared what if he told her dad. she can't see disappointment in his eyes for her.

"Virat what..." she couldn't complete as virat gave her a hard glare indicating her to stay put.

Both boys were looking into each other's eyes intensely. there was anger in virat's eyes and determination in chirag's.

"stay away from her" Virat said in a deep angry voice.

to which chirag gave a smirk and said " why so? it's not like I forced her to come with me, she came with her very own will and who are you to her. why are you so concerned ha? did she dump you and came with me that's why you are so angry right? ohh she is so hot man,you guys must had something between you right" Chirag whispered the last part in his ears and Virat lost his last bit of patience.

Virat punched his jaw with full force and Chirag fell on the ground. the punch was so hard that even Virat can feel a stinging in his hand and corner of Chirag's lip had blood visible.

Chirag too got angry he got up and charged at Virat and the next moment they were on the ground rolling and hitting each other.

Zoey was now had tears in her eyes. it was too much for her to witness. she was never subjected to such violence. her heart was hammering against hr chest as she kept shouting for them to stop fighting.

by then Adarsh reached the scene and quickly hold Virat and tried to pull them away from each other. students started to gather around. Chirag's gang came there too and thwy were about to start a new fight when one of the teacher get there.

"what is happening here" he shouted and everyone stop in there places.

Chirag and Virat were called in the principal office where they both got a good scolding

Both Virat and Chirag were in a disheveled condition. their like nests, shirts hanging out of pants. Virat's s**t has some missing buttons and not to miss the blood on their faces. Chirag's eye was swollen while Virat has a big bruise on his left cheek and a slit on his upper lip.

"look at you self. what do you think you are? is this a school or a fighting ring? both of you will report here with your parents tomorrow morning or else be ready to be restigated. such behaviour will not be tolerated in this school. Now leave" the principal scolded

friends of Chirag and Virat starts dragging them away but none of them break the eye contact. they both were throwing fire at each other

They get out of the office and again chirag tried to provoke him by him a teasing smile

It has just started, he was definitely going to take his revenge for all his insults. he can't bear it that someone walk over him. He can't accept the defeat. this will end only with his vengeance.

Virat was hell angry on Zoey. he grab her hand and went to her class to collect her bag then he took his bag from his class as it was almost time for the school to get over.

Zoey would have been following silently in other circumstances she was the one who would be shouting at him.

their car was already there to pick them up. Virat didn't talk to her at all. he escort her to her car and leave without even sparing a single glance. Zoey felt really hurt with his this behaviour. she was dejected. she felt a pain in her chest. Virat was her only friend, her only companion, the only person whom she can talk her heart out and being ignored like this cause her immense amount of pain.

she didn't ate her lunch and went straight to her bedroom. she has tears in her eyes threatning to fall.

when her cell phone beeped. she look at her screen and it was a message from Virat. A wave of relief washed over her. she quickly picked the phone and read the message.

"Meet me at the nostalgia cafe in fifteen minutes" it was their regular hanging out spot. her mood instantly brighten up. she quickly texted him back

"I will be there in ten" she wore her shoes and just ran toward the exit.

while running she bumped with Ana.

"slow down baby where are you going in such a hurry" She asked

"di Virat was angry with me now he has called me to meet him , I will tell you everything later right now just dont ask me anything, bye" zoey blabbered and kissed her sister's cheek and ran again without giving Ana ant chance to say anything.

Ana was amused she always fight with Virat and then die to talk to him again. she can't live without talking to him.

Zoey had a big smile on her face. it like smile was not leaving her lips. she reached the cafe in ten minutes as she said and saw Virat was already there waiting for her. as soon as she take seat a waiter came and put dishes on the table.

"eat something, I know you didn't have eaten anything" said Virat his voice blank. he knew her way too well. he knew she will not eat so he had alrady ordered their food.

"Virat I am Sorry" she apologized.

Virat being virat cant be angry with her for too long . he sighed in defeat and looked at her. his eyes soft. He found her looking down .

"Zoey you know we are concerned about you. I told you to stay away from that boy. you are too naive zoe. people are not how they look. You are too good to even see evil intentions of people. We just want to keep you safe all we do is for your own good. " Virat tried to make her understand.

She was sad that no one understands her. All she want is a normal life like other children of her age

"Okay fine you want to go to a club and a night out right? I will take you " announced Virat to which Zoey snap her head to Virat and then as realisation hit her she now her head again

"Are you trying to make fun of me" Zoey asked pouting like a child

To which Virat chuckled and said

"I promise Zoe I will take you, you have to promise me too you will not hide anything from me, come on now look at me"

"Zoey"

"Zoey look at me"

"Zoey"

She snap out of her thoughts as Virat tap her shoulder.

Leaving the car at road Virat took her to their old hanging out spot the nostalgic cafe. And Zoey walk down the memory lane remembering everything. Looking around she realised everything was same. The same walls , same table same chair, the same Virat but she was not the same any more. She has changed.

And it is now that she realized her Dad was right all along. Virat was right about Chirag. She was too naive to identify good from bad. Naive really I was a cool. The one whom I thought to be my comforter, the one whom I thought will love me and cherish me turned out to be my biggest nightmare. Neither I got involved with him nor I have to suffer this much. I would have been living a normal and happy life. Would have married Virat by now. But now all of this is just a wishful thinking. Now there's no use of crying over spilt milk the damage us already done. I wish I had listen to the man man sitting in front of him. That was the day when it all started. When I called for my own destruction.

Thinking of all this Zoey was lost in her thoughts when Virat gently tapped her shoulder and she came out of her trance. She thought Chirag did all that to avenge his insults. To soothe his ego but she had no idea that there's much more that what eyes meet. There's a bigger picture to it. Chirag was not doing all of it for just revenge but also following someone's command. Someone very close like a family.
