After the call ended, Nathan did not sense anything amiss. He only furrowed his brow and said to Olivia, who was lying in the hospital bed, "Happy now? She released a statement and apologized to you."
"Hey, watch your tone! She was clearly in the wrong! Our baby almost died because of her—am I wrong to demand an apology from her?" Olivia flared up in embarrassed anger.
For some reason, she could not shake the feeling that something was off with Nathan. It felt like ever since he decided to return, his heart had strayed.
