Nathan threatened her. "If Agnes doesn't forgive you, I will disown you." How could Madam Linwood let that happen? She hurried to me to apologize. In fact, I know what she said was the truth. If it hadn't been for this farce Nathan and Olivia put on, she would have still treated me the same as always. But she is just far too selfish. "I will not forgive him. Please tell Nathan that I will never forgive him, not even if I die. Not unless my parents come back to life, not unless you too are tormented and humiliated, and live eight years dragging around this guilt." I won't let anyone get away with wronging me. The moment I found out these eight years of my life had all been a joke, all love between Nathan and me was gone—only hatred and torment remained. Let us just torment each other
