Chapter Four‘Please, Miss Muchamore, you’re much heavier than you look.’ I cracked open my eyes to see Miss Venture leaning over me. The air stung, and I closed my eyes again. ‘Perhaps this isn’t such a good idea,’ she said. ‘Terrible idea,’ I agreed peacefully. ‘Hah!’ she said. ‘If you can talk, you can walk.’ She hauled on my grazed arm, pulling me to my feet where I had to use my own legs or fall over. ‘That’s not true at all,’ I grumbled. ‘This way,’ she said, gently tugging me off balance until I was forced to walk after her.
