That night, after they made love, they lay awake in each other's arms. Jenny's head rested on Cole's shoulder, and he lightly stroked her upper arm, smiling at the goosebumps that popped up as he did.
"Cole?"
At the whispered sound of his name on her lips, he smiled in the darkness. "Mm-hmm?"
"I'm scared. I feel like I have no control over my life. Things are going to get crazy when your sister tells the FBI about me."
He sighed deeply, knowing she was right. "I suppose they will. For a while. But we're a team, you and me. We'll walk through this together and come out great on the other side. You'll see. You're getting your life back."
