Mackenzie tried for a smile, but it looked tight and didn’t reach her eyes. She quickly dropped it as though she realized it wasn’t working and cleared her throat. “I… Uhm. I need to talk to you.” A chilly feeling crawled into Hunter’s veins, turning his blood cold. Hunter let out a huff. He shoved his hands into his pockets and rocked on the soles of his shoes. “Yeah.
