My jaws wrapped around my father’s neck, clamping down hard until I heard the sickening sound of bones braking. Axel shook his head as if he was our favorite toy, until my father’s body fell limp. I heard a wolf howl which made Axel drop our father’s dead body. I looked to where the howl came from, only to see a wolf being ripped in half by my mate. I have never seen a wolf being ripped in half, but I guess it is true what they say, there’s a first time for everything. I watched my mate stand, blood dripping down her body, as the hot, red dirt soaked up the blood.
