It had been four days since Alec hired Xyra and the whole deal went down with the witch. I told my family about what had happened and who the witch was working with. To say they were angry was an understatement. For the past four days and three nights, Alec continued getting up early and leaving before I woke up and coming home after I was asleep. Yesterday, I overheard Xyra talking to someone.
*Flashback*
"I like the King. He's really sweet and makes me laugh", I hear Xyra say, which makes me stop in my tracks.
"You know the King is marked and mated" I heard someone else say.
"I don't care. I can tell she's not pleasing him. I can see by the way he looks at me when I show too much skin. I can tell he wants me just like I want him", Xyra says.
