Eliana's POV After locking the door, my first instinct was to rush Derrick into the room. Then I remembered that my annoying, nosy roommate was absent and I had him sit in the living room instead. He settled into the rarely occupied couch with a heavy sigh. The sigh fell somewhere between an exhausted and a worried one. I took my seat beside him, leaving only a few inches between us. None of us said anything for the first few minutes and I was left wondering what was going through his mind.
