CHAPTER 5
~ IRIS ~
The drive was long and the silence suffocating. I had cried all the way from Frost blood to here with a ruffled mouth. My eyes were already swollen and reddish. I could feel it.
I wonder what awaited me.
The stranger that was at my pack earlier removed the shackles and freed my mouth.
"Sorry," he let out. "But it was necessary. "Come follow me."
My feet followed him while my eyes took in the surroundings, trying to find an escape route if need be. But there wasn't. The whole premises were sealed off with brick walls that seemed to be at least a hundred feet in the air.
I bumped into the man I had followed earlier, and it dawned on me,8 he had stopped moving.
He opened two Gigantic doors.
He then bowed and said, "Go on inside." Alpha Ronan is waiting for you."
I walked into darkness. The dark room was terrific. I saw a man sitting at the end of a table on a high black chair facing his back on me.
And suddenly he turned his chair facing me. I could only see his silver pink ring glisten in darkness as the red ruby winked at me.
I could feel his attention on me pressing down on my body as though he were accessing my every curve.
He broke the silence which lingered in the air.
" You are here?" He asked. His voice was sweeter than sugar more like honey.
I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out of it.
He chuckled while he sipped on his liquor. The sipping sound makes the blood rush to my head.
He stood up then switched on the light above his decks. My breath caught in my throat. He's face was nowhere near to whom i pictured. In fact, he was the most beautiful man I've ever seen.
Black shiny hair that pinned back in a low ponytail. Thick eyebrows that framed his almond shaped eyes. And his lips perfectly shaped and alluring.
"Staring at me"? " He chuckled as he walked on to the front of the desk.
"What is it. Baby Bun, wolf got your tongue? He chortled.
I stood still. Don't get lost in his attractiveness, Iris. He is still your enemy. The one who bought you like you are some sort of commodity.
I didn't know where I got the courage to speak, but I did.
"What do you even want me for?" I snapped, my voice hoarse from crying all the way.
"You speak," he laughed. "I thought you were sort of dumb," he purred. Dumb aren't fun. I like to hear the ladies scream.
I don't care what deal you made with Neo. I don't belong to you. I really don't."
Ronan let's out a low chuckle, "Is that so?"
He sets his glass down on the table and pushes his body forward.
I hadn't truly registered how high he was. But he was really tall.
He moved like a predator, slow and calculated. His soaring broad frame radiated raw power. He stood in front of me, his colange making my head spin. I was in love with men that smelt nice and clean and Ronan was all of this things and more. Sexy addictive and alluring.
He starred down at me though I had looked like a challenge.
"You really seem like trouble. I don't do trouble." He stepped back," but well, I will have them take you to where you had be staying. We will talk more tomorrow. He said and rang an alarm.
A girl who was older than me appeared. I looked at her intently. She was really tall, almost like Ronan.
Do they have tallness running in their pack, from tall walls outside to tell people inside?
"Ivy," he called the girl, who bowed at once.
" Take Iris to the place she's meant to stay."
" Yes Alpha," the girl bowed and led the way. " Ma'm let's go."
I chuckled. Didn't she know I was bought?
Why was she calling ma,m, I muttered.
"Am not a ma'm pls" I said, rolling my eyes.
"She is Iris." He called my name for the first time, sweeter than anyone had ever called it.
" Iris pls follow her"
Ronan said.
Awnn he was so gentle with his words.
"Okay, lets go Ivy."

I woke up with my body aching from yesterday's crying and kicking.
I have thoughts i would end up in a dungeon or rather, a cage like Neo said. But the room wasn't close to that. It was so magnificent and beautiful. The Luna's quarters back at frost blood wasn't anything close to it. The bed was extremely luxurious with well-lighted walls.
I looked out from the window and saw the vastness of the pack, and then I decided to take a walk around before anyone wakes up and find me.
I crept downstairs quietly in a bid not to wake anyone.
And suddenly stopped when I heard voices from the end of the stairs.
Neo must really think he is going to get away from me. I heard Ronan speak.
" And what about her?" Another voice asked. Does she know her identity?
"No she doesn't know about it yet. "Breaking the news to her so suddenly might make her turn against us eventually." Neo concurred.
What exactly were they talking about? I tiptoed a little bit closer to hear them clearly.
" Yh thats true, telling her she is the Queen of Moon veil might make her even turn against you for buying her. Remember she needs to be told according to the words of the priestess. The second voice spoke again.
" I will definitely tell her about her true identity of who she is at the right time. The other members of the pack might come after her thinking it's false news.
" I think you should make her your Luna first, Alpha, and from there, it's going to be much easier."
" And Neo, he must pay dearly for betraying my trust," Ronan concluded.
My jaw dropped. What was he talking about me being the queen and Neo paying dearly.
The door opened before I could turn and Ronan stepped out with a surprised look on his face, looking at me intently.
