Just 14. Born in the ruins. Raised in the New Lagos Hub. No special powers, no ancestry of warriors. But ever since she touched the old Prime Anchor in the archives, she’d seen them—glitches. Shadows. Echoes.
And lately, voices.
“Player Next… awaken.”

Patch hadn’t aged, but he looked older. More tired. The peace was too perfect, and he didn’t trust perfection.
He reviewed new reports:
Minor system anomalies.
AI entities going silent.

And then a sealed document auto-unlocked.
“PROJECT: SECOND FALL – STAGE ONE CONFIRMED”
His heart sank.
He turned to Echo. She looked at the file with hollow eyes.
“It’s Specter,” she said.
“No,” Patch whispered. “It’s the code. It’s alive.”
