The ceremony hasn’t even started Yet, something had caught his wolf’s attention. He slowly scanned the crowd again. His eyes moved from one person to another still nothing.

Kael clenched his gloved hand. For twenty-five years, his wolf had never reacted like this. So why now? He didn’t know the answer but deep inside, something told him that whatever had awakened his wolf was somewhere inside this room.

Kael sat on his throne as the ceremony began, his eyes moving around the hall. There was different kingdoms gathered in the room, nobles, guards and servants all trying to look calm infront of him.

Lucian stood beside him quietly pointing at some of the important delegates.

“The Silver Kingdom is there” he whispered.

Kael only nodded.

“The Red Moon Kingdom came with their council and the Ivory Kingdom delegation is also here.”

Kael’s eyes moved towards the Ivory Kingdom. He noticed Adrian first, standing confidently beside his family. The young man looked comfortable, like he wasn’t even bothered by the presence of the king and higher nobles.

Kael’s eyes moved away from him and then stopped on the woman standing beside them. She was dressed in an ivory gown. Kael didn’t know why he noticed her. There was nothing special about what she was doing. She wasn’t trying to get attention or looking around like the other nobles. Instead she looked annoyed, like something was bothering her. What caught his attention most was that she wasn’t afraid nor was She trying to avoid looking at him.

Seraphina wasn’t moving away from him either, this made Kael frown slightly. Why wasn’t she afraid? Almost everyone in the room knew who he was and what his touch could do, Yet she stood there like he was just another person. Kael found himself looking at her longer than he should and Lucian noticed it.

“You seem to be interested in someone” he said quietly.

Kael turned his eyes towards him. “I’m not.”

“I didn’t say who.” Lucian smirked.

Kael ignored him, then returned His eyes to the woman again. As if she could feel his heavy gaze, she suddenly raised her head. As their eyes met, Kael became still. She didn’t look away immediately. For a few seconds they just looked at each other. He saw no fear in her eyes only curiosity. Kael didn’t understand why that bothered him. He finally looked away asking himself.

Why was he even paying attention to her? He didn’t know her. Before he could think about it more, a loud crash came from somewhere behind the gathering. Everyone turned at once. The guards moved quickly towards the sound, People began whispering and moving around. Kael stood from his throne.

“What happened?”

One of the guards hurried towards the disturbance. Kael’s eyes moved around the hall again.

The ceremony had suddenly become chaotic, when he looked back towards the place where the woman had been standing. She was gone.
