"Mason..." I chuckle at my Beta as we walk downstairs to the kitchen together. The aroma of food is so inviting and unfortunately, I fell asleep early yesterday and so I had skipped dinner. Never making that mistake again.
"Oh, I'm not done... If two vegetarians are arguing, is it still considered beef?" He continues laughing to his own joke as he shares a bunch of puns he had come up with.
"Okay, that one is kinda funny..." I agree defeatedly. He had been trying to make me laugh for the past 10 minutes because Christy had put me in such a bad mood. The girl just hasn't been able to take no as an answer. She is annoyingly persistent and won't get that I don't want her anywhere near me, our business is done and she should understand that.
