Chapter 36. The Children of Two Worlds

700 Words
A few days later, Elena decided it was finally time for Isabella to begin school in Italy. Not just any school— But the most prestigious elementary school for billionaire and elite families in Milan. VELMONT ROYAL ELEMENTARY. The school was known across Italy for raising future heirs, young business successors, and children from royal and billionaire homes. That morning, Elena stepped out of her luxury car wearing an elegant cream fitted dress paired with diamond earrings and dark sunglasses while little Isabella walked beside her proudly in her perfectly tailored school uniform. The moment they entered the school compound, attention immediately shifted toward them. “Isn’t that Belléna’s CEO?” “She’s so beautiful.” “And her daughter looks like a little princess!” Meanwhile Isabella calmly observed everything around her with mature curiosity. “Mama,” she whispered softly, “this school looks like a palace.” Elena smiled faintly. “You’ll enjoy it here.” Unfortunately— Another luxury car suddenly stopped nearby. Sofia stepped out elegantly wearing a designer outfit while holding Leonardo’s hand proudly. Several mothers instantly rushed toward her excitedly. “Mrs. De Luca!” “Leonardo looks so handsome today!” “The future De Luca heir is here!” Sofia smiled proudly while enjoying the attention— Until her eyes landed on Elena. Immediately, jealousy burned inside her chest again. Even here… Elena somehow became the center of attention effortlessly. Meanwhile Leonardo proudly adjusted his expensive little blazer arrogantly before noticing Isabella nearby. His eyes narrowed slightly. Who was this girl everyone kept staring at? After Isabella was escorted toward her classroom, Sofia slowly walked toward Elena with a fake smile. “So… you really enrolled your daughter here.” Elena calmly removed her sunglasses. “Yes.” Sofia crossed her arms elegantly. “You came back to Italy boldly.” “I don’t remember needing permission,” Elena replied calmly. Sofia’s expression tightened slightly before her eyes drifted toward Isabella’s classroom. “She’s beautiful,” Sofia said coldly. “I wonder which one of your rich lovers she belongs to.” The insult was obvious. “She probably came from one of those notorious men you slept around with after leaving Italy.” For one second— Elena became very quiet. Then slowly… She smiled. Dangerously. “At least my daughter was born from love,” Elena replied softly. Sofia instantly froze. Elena stepped closer calmly. “And unlike some women… I don’t need lies to keep a man beside me.” Sofia’s face slightly paled. Because somehow— Those words felt far too personal. Before Sofia could respond, Elena calmly walked away leaving her standing there silently furious. Meanwhile inside the luxury playground area, little Leonardo already acted like a tiny king among the children. “You can’t sit there,” he told another little boy arrogantly. “That place is mine.” The frightened child immediately moved away. Leonardo smirked proudly. Most children feared him because everyone knew he was Adrian De Luca’s son. Then suddenly— A calm little voice interrupted him. “That’s rude.” Leonardo immediately turned around. And there stood Isabella. Calm. Elegant. Completely unafraid. Leonardo frowned slightly. “Do you know who I am?” Isabella nodded innocently. “A boy acting proud.” Several nearby children gasped quietly. Nobody had ever spoken back to Leonardo before. His face instantly darkened. “My father owns half of Italy.” Isabella tilted her head calmly. “My mama owns companies too.” Leonardo crossed his arms proudly. “You should listen to me.” “And why should I?” Isabella asked smoothly with a tiny smile. “Did you buy the school?” Some teachers nearby nearly laughed hearing her response. Leonardo stared at her in disbelief. For the first time in his life— Someone his age matched his attitude perfectly. And somehow… He found it strangely interesting. Meanwhile upstairs in the VIP parents lounge, Elena quietly watched her daughter through the large glass windows. A soft proud smile slowly appeared on her face. Her daughter carried grace. Confidence. And strength. The exact things Elena once lost— But finally found again.
