Chapter 37. The Woman Everyone Admired

432 Words
After leaving Velmont Royal Elementary, Elena drove directly toward De Luca Holdings for the official partnership meeting. Her black luxury car moved smoothly through the busy streets of Milan while Isabella’s laughter still echoed softly in her mind. For the first time in years… Elena felt strangely calm. Beside her, Nina checked several documents carefully. “The entire business world is talking about today’s meeting,” Nina said excitedly. “Belléna and De Luca Holdings together would dominate Europe completely.” Elena simply looked outside the window calmly. “We’re only discussing possibilities.” But deep inside— She knew fate was slowly dragging her back into Adrian’s world again. Soon, the luxury car finally arrived before the massive De Luca Holdings skyscraper. The building stood proudly in the center of Milan like a symbol of power itself. The moment Elena stepped out of the car, attention immediately shifted toward her. Employees froze. Visitors whispered. Even reporters waiting outside instantly rushed forward. “It’s Belléna’s CEO!” “She actually came herself!” “She’s stunning…” Elena walked gracefully through the entrance wearing an elegant black fitted suit paired with gold heels and dark sunglasses. Confidence surrounded her naturally now. No trace remained of the timid girl who once worked as a servant in her father’s house. Inside the company lobby, workers immediately stood respectfully. “Welcome, Miss Moretti.” “We’re honored to have you here.” Elena couldn’t help but notice the difference. Years ago, she entered this building silently and invisibly. Now— The same place welcomed her like royalty. Meanwhile several female employees whispered excitedly nearby. “She’s even more beautiful than Sofia.” “No wonder the media is obsessed with her.” “And her aura… she’s unbelievable.” Elena heard everything. But remained calm. Professional. Untouchable. Inside the private elevator, Nina smiled proudly. “You deserve this attention.” Elena slowly removed her sunglasses while staring at her reflection briefly. Maybe she finally did. Meanwhile upstairs inside the executive office, Adrian stood near the glass windows overlooking Milan while Matteo spoke beside him. “She’s already here.” For some strange reason— Adrian suddenly felt restless. Then moments later, the office doors opened slowly. And Elena walked in. Elegant. Confident. Dangerously beautiful. The entire room somehow changed the moment she entered. Even Adrian’s cold eyes darkened slightly while watching her approach calmly. “Mr. De Luca,” Elena greeted professionally. Her voice remained smooth and distant. As if they were complete strangers. And somehow— That irritated Adrian more than it should have.
