Finch and I went round clearing the area like gunning down the securities and anyone that came at us. We were going to get candy then get the hell out of there before anyone else from outside informed the cops on what was going on. Candy managed to open the door and walked out finding her way into the living room where he shot a guy that had been left there on standby and almost shot beast and Finch but she held her horses..

Candy: babe!

She ran to me and jumped on me with her arms wrapped around my neck and i hugged her...

Me: are you okay?

Candy: yeah... Finch?

Finch: hey beautiful..

She got down from me and hugged Finch for like a minute then they broke free and her eyes were all teary.

Candy: I can't believe you are alive..

Finch: it's good to see you too candy. Come on guys, let's get going.

Me: your father, is he around?

Candy: no. Not here. He left after he brought Ted to my room.

Finch: who is Ted?

Beast: her ex fiance

Finch: her ex what?

Candy: it's along story... Let's get out of here...

We started running towards the gate when we had police sirens and stopped abruptly. Someone had called the cops on us but how?.

Candy: who called the cops damnit

Queen: I did. You thought you would get away?

Me: who the hell are you?

Finch didn't wait for her to respond but shot her in the chest then we had to scatter and conor the police.

Finch went the other way as candy and I went a different way and hid behind a block.

Me: why did your father kidnap you?...

Candy: he said his position was being threatened and it was because of me and my stupid decisions..

I peeped and the police were jumping out of the vehicle and running towards the building but the idea was to finish them off before they got us conoured so I shot at the first officer and he fell then pushed candy to my back. She had a gun with her but still I felt the need to protect her.

Finch must have shot two more cops because the number had reduced and the rest had taken cover from their car.

The police shot at us and I know we had to be fast about killing them off not unless they called for backup and we would be overshadowed.

Me: why did he bring Ted to your room and what had Ted to do with everything?

I peeped again and there had been a cop coming towards us the time we were hidden but before he could get to us, we heard him make a sound then drop and when I peeped again he was down and stitch had shot two more of the officers before he got a bullet in his back as he tried to run to get cover.

Me: he's been shot... come on..

Candy: who has been shot.

She asked following me slowly as we were both very alert..

Me: stitch...the guy who saved Finch.

Candy: oh!

We got past the block but Finch had taken out the remaining cops and from the word go, killing cops was his thing and I bet he was still looking for that one specific cop.

Candy: my dad wanted Ted to r**e and get me pregnant so that you would have nothing to do with me.

Me: what?

I stopped and turned to her..

Candy: I killed him.

She said in her defense.That Gilbert guy was f****d up in he head and it was going to be my pleasure to kill him and hang his head to the flesh eating birds.

We got to stitch, helped him up and took him to the car and Finch joined us. The MPs compound was a mess with dead bodies scattered all over but the thing is, I got Finch and candy out a live, the rest...I didn't care about.

Me: candy take the front seat with me. Finch, help you buddy there by getting that bullet off his back

Candy passed first aid box and stitch leaned over so that stitch could work on his back as we didn't have time to take anyone to the hospital and again, in the hospital we would get arrested if someone heard of what happened here..

Finch had gotten so good at the bullet removing thing that no one even had to worry about going to the hospital given the fact that candy could also do prescription.

I drove fast taking the shortest route possible and eventually we were home. I cautioned Finch and stitch on the landmines and when we got to the house, candy offered to prepare us some food. I was so damn hungry as I hadn't gotten a chance to eat something.

Stitch and Finch were getting along just fine and I looked at them and smiled. This was good. I went to the kitchen to keep candy company as she cooked then she stopped whatever she was doing and looked at me.

Candy: we are in deep s**t right?

Me: over what?

Candy: the killing at my father's place.

Me: if they have no proof that we were there then it's nothing and besides, with Finch around, there nothing to be worried about.

Candy: actually there is.

Me: what?

She got her phone from the kitchen counter and gave it to me and I read a message she had sent to some guy with the photo of the guy she claimed to have shot.

Candy: that's Ted. I killed him but that's not the issue.

Me: what's the issue?

Candy: the issue is that the person i sent a text to is his father and I made it look like my father sent the message.

Candy was now getting her head in the game and she all over sudden was thinking like a criminal and not a doctor. Despite the hell she had created for herself, I was proud of her..

Finch: hey you two, are you going to continue staring at each other or you are going to cook?

He said walking up to us and I told him what candy had done.

Finch: wow... That's my girl..

I looked at him..

Finch: no I mean your girl. Your father is wicked and why would he hold me hostage on the first place.

Candy: to draw beast to you... When he realized it was taking long he captured me too so that beast could find me.

Me: why was he not around when I showed up?.

Candy: I don't know but he has a case in court that I have been following closely. Before be resigned from. His company job, he was accused of getting involved in his partner's death and I would have sworn my father would never do that bit right now I can't even defend him..

Finch: he killed Tosh.

Me: who is Tosh?.

Finch: a new guy brought in a few days ago. He was trying to see if he could help us escape. Your father must have found out.

Candy: guys, we have a problem. Ted's father is going to come after my father and it's going to be chaotic. What do I do?

Finch: make us some food, I'm starving...the other issue beast and I will handle..

Candy: what about his phone?

Me: whose phone?

Candy: Ted's phone. This is Ted's phone..

I took the phone and sank it in a bucket of water... Ted was the son of someone prominent and if they found him dead, the first thing they would want to do is track his phone to check who he was talking to..

Me: you, come with me..

We left the room and stepped outside. Finch and I needed to catch up on a few things. We sat on two plastic chairs as stitch lay on the couch after taking some painkillers.

Me: how could you do me like that?

Finch: I don't know what happened my boy.. that day I remember you and I talking then something hit me from the back and I fell. I knew for sure I wasn't dead though I couldn't feel myself stitch and his boy grabbed me and took me to their van. They took my jacket and shoes and after that.. I cannot account for the events that took place in my life a month down the line.

Me: Loketo told me before he died..

Finch: yeah he was a good guy.

Me: so how the hell have you been surviving you should have given me a call as soon as you found out you were alive.

Finch: I wanted to but I couldn't. I sent you the mask to tell you I was alive then I sent stitch to come check on you in hospital, I heard you got your ass shot. Listen...there is a man called Dondi.. he operates with Fujo brothers and we need to put him down.

Me: I can't argue with that..there is a woman called Emily... You know her?

Finch shook his head.

Finch: I have never met an Emily in my life.

I got my phone and showed him the photo of Emily. I had taken that photo the day Dondi had thrown her off a moving car.

Finch: this is Emily?

Me: yeah...

Finch: I don't know her, never seen her before.

Candy and I were wrong when we thought Emily was one of those women Finch was dating or sleeping with a while back.

Finch: what about her?

Me: I think she is a spy for Dondi but there is something about her I can't put my finger on. Are you sure you don't have a kid with any female?

He looked at me as if I was being a d**k but I needed to know because Emily had come to me with all sort of explanations and reasons as to why I needed to stay safe and be careful and all that crap. What was she playing at and what was her end game?...

Finch: I don't know what that woman made you believe but I don't have any kids. You know me man. I just want to get back at Dondi for the hell he put me through. Our boss, he around?

Me: no. His wife died..

Finch: what the hell?... Holy Mary died?

Me: holy Mary... really?

Finch: that woman was good...

Me: she died and he is working towards her burial. He missed you and was so excited when he learned that you are alive.

Finch smiled..

Finch: I missed you guys.

Finch and I talked for a while telling him about the progress the boss and I was making to bring life back to the drug world and I told him why we couldn't reform just yet. We needed to mark our territories and keep the drug supply going, employ boys for the job then walk around in suits like billionaires that we were yet to be.

Finch: you know I'm down rolling with you but first, let's get that son of a b***h.

Finch was angry. There must have been something that Dondi did to him that he could not wait to get back at him for..

Candy said food was ready and Finch and I opted to go inside but before I could. I felt some movement then saw someone throw something only to learn that it was a hand grenade.

Me: watch out!

I dived on Finch, pushed him in the house and the grenade hit a wall and exploded. We had both dived on the floor when candy came rushing out..

Candy: what is that?

Me: I don't know but I think we are under attack. Move back and get down..

I said getting up from the floor locking the door from inside.

Me: they have brought the war to our doorstep. Get some weapons.

Finch: who is they?

Me: the remaining lot of the Fujo brothers.

As we were running around trying to find guns and explosives. Someone from outside started spraying bullets on the door. We were trapped and it was such a convenient way to kill all of us under one roof...
