DON'T GET CAUGHT EPISODE TWENTY ONE

"He cannot find you here, I swear he will kill you."

Emily said trying to find a place to hide me and it's not like I was afraid to meet the Dondi guy but it would ve stupid to meet him without a weapon. This was now consider the most dangerous man around but he had not met me or the beast in me. I wasn't in a hurry to meet the Dondi guy so I chose to hide not because I freaked out but because I wanted to hear the conversation she was going to have with Dondi.

She hid me behind a couch that was like a metre away from the window and I prayed that the Dondi guy wasn't going to stay long.

Emily made sure I was completely hidden then she hurriedly went to open the door and then there was silence that I couldn't quite explain. I heard his footsteps and it seemed like he was roaming the house to check if there was someone else, atleast that's what i assumed he was doing...

Dondi: what took you so long?

I heard his deep commanding voice ask

Emily: I was in my bedroom doing a bit of cleaning.. I didn't hear you knock the first time.

Dondi: I see...

He said pacing the house and checking around yet again as if he had suspected that someone was there. If i had put on a cologne that day, I would have swore he felt the scent but i was wearing none. Maybe it was his instincts..

Dondi: are you alone?

Emily: yes..

Dondi: Good.

He pushed her to the wall, grabbed her neck and hoisted her up. From where i was, I could see whatever was happening from the reflection on the mirror.

Dondi: I waited for your report.

Emily: I'm still working on it.

Dondi: by planning to kill me?

Emily was surprised, how did he even know that or did Tosh snitch on her?

Dondi: see, I want you to know that I'm one step ahead and Everytime you plan to double cross me I will know.

Emily: I didn't plan anything.

He smiled then started to walk away. You didn't want to know what happened to Tosh and the only reason you are still alive is because you have a task you need to complete and you have a few days.. don't get me angry Emily and if you want to see your daughter again. You will deliver Beast at my door step.

He opened the door and walked out then when he drove off, I got out of my hiding place and Emily was there seated with her hands over her head.

Me: what was that about?.

She looked up at me and took a deep breath.

Emily: he has Chelsea Steve.

Me: Chelsea is your daughter, the one I found here the other time?

She nodded

Me: how did he get a hold of her?

Emily: she had gone out with Tosh. Tosh is one of the Fujo brothers.

Me: Dondi, I heard him mention Beast, does he know that I'm the same person?

Emily: I don't think he knows Steve. He only knows Beast and that's the person he is looking for.

This whole information sounded shady to me. Why would Emily be following me around and why hadn't she sold me out yet, then again... How did she know of my different personalities. No one got to meet the Steve part of me except for the few people I had interacted with. Who was she?

Something was going on but I was yet to figure it out...

I started to walk away but she grabbed my arm and I turned to look at her.

Emily: I never told Tosh who you are because who would have given you up in exchange for his life. Dondi is ruthless and I don't know what he has done to him and I don't know what he intends to do to my daughter...

Me: we will find your daughter..just keep dodging him, I will find a way.

She seemed to have so much trust in me so I left her and went back to my house having left the wire there. Emily was so afraid of Dondi and as much as she had told me stuff, she was still holding back. What did she know about my life?..

I made a call to my boss and he told me he was winding up with the clients and was coming back home. I needed him to come back so that we could talk strategy. And see how to eliminate the Fujo brothers because from the look of things, they seemed to be the last group standing..

Since Finch died, I lost purpose in life and nothing seemed too serious. After the attacks and even my Boss's wife dying, the expectation was that we jump out and start a fight but the Fujo brothers were smart, they knew just the right button to press. They knew my boss and them killing his wife was not to lure me out but to get him scared so that they could find a way to get to me.

When I was in hospital, candy packed all my guns and weapons in a box and put then in the closest. No one had Access to my house except candy, the boss and his wife so everything was intact.

I pulled out a gun, my all time favorite and wiped it with my shirt then put the bullets in it and stepped out with some glass bottles and went to the back of the house. I needed to get my target right and not that I had forgotten how to aim but I needed to get on top of my A game. My boss's wife didn't deserve to die and if only I had stepped out in time, I would have saved her life.

I arranged the bottles and moved away from them then aimed at each as I fired the shots. See, I said I was the badder shooter alive and my target aim was still on point.

I didn't hear my boss drive in but I heard claps from my back and when I turned it was him.

Boss: I can see the Beast is fighting to make a come back.

Me: yeah... I have discovered alot of things and we need to be on the look out.

We exchanged greetings then I handed him my gun.

Boss: come on Beast, you know I don't know how to do this thing. That's why you have been in my life.

Me: I know but it's okay to try. I will guide you. Right now, we all need to be on the lookout. There is a new squad coming at us.

Boss: the same squad that killed my wife?

Me: yes. Led by a guy known as Dondi.

He fired his shot and it missed.

Me: that was terrible.

He laughed and almost gave up but I didn't let him. If we were going to get back to business I needed him to know how to protect himself.

I pressed the gun in his hand then raised his hand and made sure it was stable..

Me: this is not about becoming the best shooter but working with your instincts. You need to be alert all the time because not everyone you will kill with a gun. Now that bottle is your target, assume it's someone holding a gun at you and you and one of you needs to take the other out. Do you want to live or die, that question you answer with the gun in your hand.

I could see the tight grip of the gun in his hand and I told him to wait for my signal and when I gave him the go ahead, he shot at the bottle and broke it into pieces then looked at me but I was very impressed.

Me: see, that wasn't hard at all.

Boss: you have gotten really good at this.

Me: what?

Boss: knowing what to do in a complex situation. I feel safe around you it's good to have you back on your feet.

Me: thank you for everything you have done for me and for the person I am today...

I smiled then I pat him on the back.

Me: you can drop some more bottles.

He did and while at it he told me after we set up the business and once we found the guys who killed his wife, he would leave me I charge of the business and go abroad. He told me without his wife, he couldn't stay here and especially in this compound because it reminded him of everything his wife was.

Boss: so how do we get these guys Beast?

Me: I have leads. I'm just trying to get my hands on something and once I do, we will raid their territory and put then down. The Dondi guy, I hear he is well connected and even the system can't put him down.

Boss: but you can. Whatever you needs, just let me know and I will provide. This is our territory and no one comes to interfere.

Me: I want guns and explosives.. I mean this is my favourite but I need a sniper rifle because when I land in their camp, it will be total wipe out.

The boss wasn't a bad student for out of the five bottles, he dropped four and that was a good sign. I collected my gun from him and we walked back to the house.

Me: we need proper security set up around the house. Maybe and alarm, an electric fence and something else I need to check on.

Boss: what if we just abandon this place and get the hell out of here?

Me: that sounds like we will be running away. I say we stay here and let whatever finds us find us here. I have a good plan and whoever steps anywhere around this compound as long as my plan will be in motion, will leave in a box.

Boss: I trust what you say beast. My wife, I will have her cremated. That's was her wish and I think it's a good idea because I will carry her ashes with me. That way, I will not feel like I left her behind.

Me: I'm so sorry about...

Boss: don't be.. that's life and all of us must go down that line only that she went ahead of us. I gave your contact to Mr. Faruk. He will call you and then you will meet up then drive the truck to the warehouse. We have cocaine worth 45M coming in and we need good strategy on how to distribute it...

Me: Faruk snuggled cocaine worth 45M into the country and nobody knows about it?

Boss: after you I fear Faruk. Faruk has tons of containers coming in with goods from all over and at the Port, he has his own guys set up there to do the clearing and he has never had problems with the system. He is our new connect.

I nodded then he walked to his car, opened the door to the front seat and brought me a bullet proof vest.

Boss: I can't offer you full protection from any harm coming your way but I can protect you from the bullets directed to your chest.

Me: thank you.

He also gave me the keys to the range Rover his wife was driving saying I needed it more than he did. Not that I couldn't afford to buy myself a car but this felt good..

I took the keys from him and decided to go for a road test as he also went to his businesses...

Elsewhere

Fujo camp

The Fujo brothers were having a meeting. They were around fifteen guys and Dondi was the leader of them all..

They had a photo of Beast, Finch, candy, the boss and his wife on a board and below them was Emily's photo.

Loketo: why do we have Emily on that board I don't think she played a part on the loss of our brothers. She was just a victim.

Dondi: she was a victim yes but she is the only one that can help us solve the puzzle.

Loketo: you have her daughter and Emily is very smart, what makes you think she will not lead you on. You heard her plan to kill you, she will know you are spying on her and then she will run to the enemy and blow our cover.

Ringo: I don't see any other way to do this. Emily associated with the Finch guy before so there is a possibility that she knows more about that team than any of us.

Loketo: that's correct, but you have her daughter. What makes you think she will not lias with the enemy?

Dondi: she will not. I know how women think. The kid is the reminder of what she had with Finch. She might want to keep that memory alive and that is the key to her leading us to Beast.

Ringo: if you ask me, I think letting go of Candy was a bad idea and why is she even on that board. She took the message to whoever you sent her to but what had happened since then, what if she lied so that you could let her go.

Loketo: she was on an electric seat. I don't think she lied..

Ringo: you have no idea how much pain women can take. I don't see the need to capture anyone anymore. I say we eliminate the people close to beast one by one until he is able to show himself to us.

Loketo: beast or Steve?

Dondi: I still don't understand the concept. I don't think there is a Steve and I don't think one person can be two people at the same time.

Loketo: we want to find Beast, we strike where it hurts the most. We killed his bosses wife and we haven't seen any reaction. Emily has not sent any photos of him either so how about we kill candy or his boss instead. That will send him looking for us.

Dondi: okay...lias with Emily and get a signal from her.

Later that evening I got back home and parked the car where I used to park my old car then made my way towards the house but when I got to my door, there was a small box wrapped as a gift and placed right there for me to see. I looked around and no one was there then I picked the box, opened the door and got in.

I slowly opened the box thinking that maybe it was Candy's way of apologizing, she loved giving gifts and that was her way of saying she loved me, or sorry and stuff. I smiled because I had intended of making her life a bit hard. I still loved her but I wasn't going to give her an easy ticket to my heart again. She had to earn it.

I opened the box and to my shock,the gift inside the box was the same mask I had been wearing the entire time when I was Beast. the same mask I had put inside Finch's coffin as a sign that we were still together even in his death. I pushed the box away and got up then pulled the gun from my waist. Someone was playing tricks on me and it was not funny... How did the mask get out of the coffin because I watched Finch get buried with it?.... No..this couldn't be....
