"Easton, I'm glad you could come!" Ty's father greeted me as a took a seat next to them in the Xcel Energy Center, the location of the boys high school state hockey tournament.
"Yeah, I wouldn't miss this for the world," I replied with a sincere smile.
"Oh, I see you've brought some friends," Ty's mom noted, addressing the guys from the team I brought along.
"Yeah, these are some of the guys on the team. Darcy, Jason, Charlie, Jonas, and Erik," I said, pointing to each of my friends as I said their name.
"It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Brady," Erik said cordially, reaching out to shake her hand.
"Please, call me Renae," Ty's mom smiled as she shook Erik's hand. "All of you, call me Renae."
"Will do, Renae," Jason joked.
