“Let go of me,” Rieka yelled angrily.

“Please give me a chance to survive, I love Bardulf so much, I'll die if he rejects me, please” Ashina pleaded desperately.

“What's she trying to do again?” Rieka was puzzled.

Before she could gather her thoughts, the door knob turned “Bardulf” Rieka thought and a crazy thought flashed across her head.

She hit her head on the table and started bleeding.

“I'll leave Bardulf, he's your fated mate, I'm just a third party” Rieka pleaded desperately, making her voice loud and full of pain.

“What” Sophie growled silently, Bardulf entered and saw Ashina on the floor, he rushed to meet her, her body was trembling.

“Bardulf” she called out.

“What happened?” he asked Ashina who faced Rieka, Bardulf followed her gaze and was shocked to see Rieka in so much pain, he stood up immediately “What happened?” he looked confused, his soldiers outside were confused as well.

“She tore my clothes, she slapped me” Ashina screamed angrily, almost biting her tongue.

“Why…” Bardulf wasn't sure that was the right question to ask.

“I only tried to protect myself, she is so powerful that I could not protect myself” Rieka cried pitifully putting Bardulf in a tight spot.

“I understand Rieka, I apologize on her behalf” Bardulf moved closer to Rieka who moved away from him, feeling of hurt flashed across his eyes but he hid it immediately.

“This pack is unfair, I'm leaving” Rieka got up but lost her balance, Bardulf helped her quickly, she pushed him away, “Don't…Help your mate, stay away from me” she yelled angrily.

“I'm hurt” Ashina called Bardulf's attention, Bardulf moved closer to her and helped her up.

“Why did you push Rieka? I know you're sad and jealous but I promised to handle her already you don't have to be Insecure” Bardulf scolded

“I'm sorry” Ashina had to put up with her innocent attitude but deep down she really want to poison Rieka “I was just a bit jealous” she clenched her fist

“I'll send her away from here” Bardulf promised, Ashina smiled but she had other plans.

ONE WEEK LATER…

Rieka tried all possible means to exit her pack but it was all in vain, she was void of any emotions, she had been betrayed by her love and her pack.

She was having a stroll in the forest away from everyone to settle her troubled mind but it felt empty here, it seems these creatures are already comfortable living in the city.

“I'm feeling anxious” her wolf communicated suddenly “what do you mean?” Rieka started feeling anxious too.

“Something is about to happen but I can't really place what the problem is” her wolf said, Rieka got up looking anxious and scared at the same time.

She wanted to run, to go back to her park but she found herself moving deep into the forest.

AMBERSY PACK

Odwolf entered his room and dropped his phone on the table, he let out a sigh of frustration.

“Should I check up on him or what do you think” he asked his wolf, “check up on him and take him out” his wolf suggested

Odwolf let out a sigh, he looked so young that no one would believe he was over a thousand years old, he put on a black joggers and a white crispy shirt, any human would drool without knowing his real age, he looked like an eighteen years old high school teenager.

He walked out of his room and dialed a number “bring out our best soldiers” he commanded

“I thought you planned to sign a treaty why are you going to attack the rogues” Zeeb questioned

He was secretly happy at least his plan with Odwolf wouldn't go to waste, he would be able to execute his plan

“Not that, I want to visit that child, it's been more than a century already” Odwolf said quietly, Zeeb almost choked.

He didn't need a seer to tell him that the child the Alpha talked about was Alcide.

Alcide was an omicron and it was said that they had gone into extinction for more than thousand years but Alcide turned out to be one.

Omicrons have no feelings, they kill anything they come across, they don't eat, they don't sleep, they are more powerful than any type of werewolves including Lycans.

It is said that it will take three Alphas to take down one weak omicron, Zeeb was very sure that Alcide was not a weak omicron, he has experienced Alcide madness once and his heart was beating fast.

“I don't think that's a good idea, change your plan, he'll hurt your people and they'll turn against you” Zeeb advised.

“That's why I need the strongest soldiers, he's chained, they only need to pull the chain” Odwolf explained.

“You remembered what happened then? He broke his chain and murdered over a hundred people in under a minute and a silver needle did not kill him, he was only weak for sometime” Zeeb was not ready to remember those memories.

Those memories hunt him till this day, he still has nightmares and he hasn't gotten all his powers till this day, it has been more than a century already but it still torments him.

Odwolf was quiet, he wished he could take Alcide, he used to be a very quiet boy till his wolf took over him, he really wished the boy could live a normal life.

“Let's do it my way” Odwolf ordered, he knew he was putting the people in danger, especially the humans living in his city.

Alcide was kept away from everyone, he was locked up in a mountain in the forest, without sun or food, Odwolf pitied him badly.

He hung up and went to the parking lot, his guards gathered round him, he looked at the weak werewolves and human “stay back. I'll be back” he declared, he entered his black Lamborghini Aventador and drove off.

Odwolf waited outside the cave till Zeeb and his soldiers came, “Are you ready?” Odwolf asked Zeeb who nodded. Zeeb was quite emotional and Odwolf understood him.

He brought out a key, he has kept this key for more than a century, he opened the big lock and it took twenty soldiers to open the big gate, Odwolf nodded, he was about to enter but Zeeb stopped him.

“Let them bring…” he was interrupted by the scream coming from inside, they rushed inside and saw over ten soldiers bleeding furiously on the floor.

These soldiers were strong werewolves but Alcide didn't use a weapon to hurt them, he was still chained.

Odwolf was having a rethink “let's go back” he was not ready to sacrifice his soldier especially now that they were getting attacks from rogues, he was not ready to risk it.

“No” Zeeb stopped him and nodded at his soldiers, one of them threw a silver needle that entered Alcide's neck, he didn't make a sound, he looked unaffected but Zeeb knew he was weak.

Odwolf felt sting all over his body, this boy didn't feel any pain. Why was he feeling pain on his behalf?

Forty soldiers dragged the chain, they were sweating profusely before they could bring Alcide to his feet, this was just a weak omicron imagine if he wasn't weak.

Odwolf led them out of the cave and they started their stroll, Alcide followed without any emotions or complaint, his eyes were white, Zeeb wondered how he could see.

Alcide turned suddenly, Zeeb almost swallowed his heart in shock, Alcide started growling loudly, “what's wrong with him?” Zeeb faced Odwolf.

“Mate…” Alcide called out for the first time since he was brought to the pack, Zeeb and Odwolf looked shocked.

“Does Alcide have a mate?” they asked in unison.

Rieka turned, she moved in a circle, Sophie growled loudly “Mate..Mate..Mate” Rieka tried to control Sophie but Sophie took over “Mate”
