The chapter 5 : I like him

Gaea’s POV
At night, 10 o’clock.
After taking a comfortable shower, I sit on the bed and wipe my hair, but Ethan is always in my mind. I have a feeling that Ethan maybe meets me before. However, in my memory, we had never met before, but the feeling Ethan gave me was so familiar.
When Ethan drove me to go home tonight and helped me unfasten my seat belt, his warm lips brushed against my ears unintentionally. At that moment, my face must have been as red as a golden apple. It was the first time when I looked at Ethan's face closely. When he stared at me straightly, I saw myself in his bright eyes. I sensed a hint of a heartbeat.
"Did it mean that I like him?" I murdered. I discovered a man I just met captured my heart.
I was lost in thought when my phone at the desk rang. I eventually come back to earth. I picked up my phone. Unknown numbers appeared on the screen of the phone. A hint of puzzlement was in my mind. I finally pressed the answer key
"Hello?"
“Hello, I am Ethan." A deep voice was hitting me over the phone.
I eventually remembered that we officially exchanged phone numbers when he drove me to go home.
"Sorry to bother you, Gaea, but could you do me a favor tomorrow? I have to go on a business trip and our nanny has asked for leave yesterday. I don't want Jimmy to be alone. You are the only familiar person in this town. Can you take care of him for a day? Just one day." Ethan said.
I could recognize his eagerness. Maybe he indeed needs a favor. But we have just met several times. He naturally engages with people.
"But you are assured that let me take care of your son? After all, we are not much familiar." I asked him.
"I am sure, Gaea, you are kind when I looked at you at the first sight." Ethan’s voice was still soft, which seemed to soften my heart.
"Okay, I don't have to work tomorrow. Bring Jimmy to my house tomorrow, and you can pick him up after you come back. But just one day."
"I will. Thank you, Gaea."
When I hung up the phone, I finally realized what I promised.
Take care of a child. My god.
Ethan’s POV
I have not expected that everything will be fine. We met Gaea again. To my surprise, she would agree to my request that looks after Jimmy. I know she would not reject it. When I saw her for the first time, she was kindhearted same as now.
The next day.
We arrived at Gaea's house. Gaea walked out of the house soon.
"Good morning"She gave us a sweet smile.
"Good morning, Gaea, Sorry to bother you today." I was sorry to say.
"It doesn’t matter. Today, I will look after Jimmy well. When will you come back to town? "She asked.
"Not sure, I will come back as soon as possible." Surely, I will come back to you. I wouldn't spend a minute apart from you if I could.
I squatted down to observe carefully Jimmy’s expression. He has never left me a minute since he was born. I am not sure he will get used to my absence.
"Jimmy, you will stay with aunt today. Dad will come back to you soon. Is it okay? "I stared at my soon and tried to set his mind at rest.
"No problem, dad." Jimmy held my hand and smiled at me.
"Great" I know Jimmy wants to stay with his mom.
Gaea’s POV
I looked at the car as it sped away. Suddenly, I sensed a hint of disappointment because of a man.
Squatting down, I stared at Jimmy’s eyes. His eyes are so beautiful with naivete.
"Jimmy, let's go grocery shopping afternoon, shall we cook tonight?"
"Okay" Jimmy replied
I gently rub Jimmy's head, and then take his little hand, and walk inside to the house.
At the supermarket.
I am afraid that there would be too many people, so I have to push Jimmy into the shopping cart.
Jimmy is very excited when he looks at the colorful shelves. This is his first time coming to the supermarket. Usually, his dad has always been busy working. So his dad has never brought him to these places such as supermarkets, cinemas, except kindergarten.
I look at Jimmy’s excited little face and couldn't help chuckling. It turns out that children like this place.
Picking up some children's cookies, milk, and other items in the snack area, I push the cart to the vegetable section. At this moment, we are mom and son. After getting off work, a mom picks up the children from school, and goes to the supermarket to buy vegetables for cooking.
I am full of happiness and satisfaction. It turns out that having a home and having children makes people feel so happy.
It was almost six o 'clock when we came back home with some dishes. Fearing that Jimmy will be hungry soon, I hurried into the kitchen and began to cook. Jimmy was alone in the living room watching cartoons, staring at the TV screen.
"Jimmy, wash your hands and prepare to have diner," I said as I cooked the meal. Taking off my apron, I walked into the living room to talk to Jimmy, who was already a fan of the cartoon. "Jimmy, can we continue to watch TV until after dinner?"
"Ok" Jimmy finally turned his gaze from the TV screen.
Jimmy is not a fussy eater. He eats conformably whatever he is given. He sat up straight at the table, too. It is really not as noisy as the children such as Alisa’s son. Jimmy is so obedient. How Ethan can teach a kid so well.
"Bell, bell, bell..."I walked out of the kitchen to pick up my phone.
"Gaea, I am Ethan." I heard Ethan’s voice come over the phone.
"It's me." My voice unconsciously became soft.
"Did Jimmy give you any trouble?" He said.
"No, Jimmy is a good boy"
"Don't worry, I'll take care of Jimmy."
"Gaea, take care of yourself."
"Well, I see. When will you come back today?” I asked
"Sorry, I cannot come back to town today. Issues have not been settled. But I will definitely come back tomorrow. "
"Got it. Then, Jimmy needs to have a shower, right? "
"Yeah. Thank you again. Gaea. "

It is about time to give Jimmy a bath.
"Jimmy, come to take a shower." I prepared for the bathwater in the bathroom and went to the living room to pick up Jimmy, who was addicted to cartoons.
"Jimmy, did Daddy bathe you at home?" I asked as I help him undressed.
"Sure" Jimmy obediently raises his arm to take off his thick hoodie.
I imagined Ethan to help bathe for a child, and I could not help laughing.
Jimmy stared at me with a quizzical look on his face. Suddenly I was wondering what Ethan's doing right now.
Picking up the towel from the shelf and I wrapped it around the naked boy, helping him dry off.
"Jimmy, get dressed." The clothes were sent by Ethan's driver. It's a good thing Ethan was thoughtful, or I wouldn't have any clothes for a little boy.
Jimmy takes his own little clothes from Gaea and gets dressed with the occasional help of Gaea.
Although Ethan loves his son, he also pays attention to the independent cultivation of his children. He ate his own food, dressed, and put on his own shoes. Jimmy was quite skilled at it at a young age.
Looking at Jimmy, I couldn't help admiring Ethan. He has taught the kids so well.
"What's the matter?" I asked Jimmy curiously.
"Dad would tell me fairy tales every night," Jimmy said softly.
"Jimmy, have you ever heard of the daughter of the sea?"
"No" Jimmy shook his head.
"That's all for today." Gaea turns to the page of the sea daughter and began to read softly.
Jimmy gradually fell asleep. I put down the book.
"Good night" I cannot help kissing his forehead.
